Aloha Follow Friday the Over 40 Set is here Flashing back!

Mr. T  - 1982
This is my son Rocky in 1982 with Mr. T at Mercy Hosp. in Chgo. IL.
Alicia at More than Words started "Friday Photo Flashback". I'm having a blast & you can too! Dig out your photo album! Don't forget to sign up so we can all visit and comment on each others pics/blogs! IT'S GREAT FUN! You'll love walking down memory lane - just as I do! The above picture is my son Robert (Rocky) with Mr. T at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, IL.  He had reached for a boiling hot pot of hot dogs on the stove and the water went all over his belly. Poor baby!  Mr. T's sister worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital where my son was taken (we lived closed by).  He stopped by the children ward to give the kids a thrill, and I went to get coffee to stay away (I was up all night).  I got off the elevator to see the back of Mr. T and my son being thrown in the air.  After I dropped my coffee, and was in shock I ran in there only to find out who he was when he turned around and all that gold around his neck glared in my face.

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday a day of rest. So we're doin' the same. On Fridays we're taking it easy on posting. Therefore, our hostess is asking a simple question for you to answer; nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Islandlife808.com. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is:  Do you have any pets?  What are they and what are their names?

We just got another Black Lab.  She's 8 yrs. old and a very loving, smart, and good dog.  We love her to pieces.  Her name use to be Buffy and we want to change it.  So far we're calling her Baby or Puppy.  We need to find something close to Buffy so it'll sound the same.  Any suggestions?

Wasn't that fun?  ~hehe~  Have a Great Weekend Everyone, and THANKS for stopping by, and following me.   Oh!  Don't forget about this Monday - "MONDAY'S MUSIC MOVES ME".  This week's theme is songs of your youth like when you were a teenager!   I truly hope you ALL can make it. It's tons of fun!  Bring a friend!  Hell, bring lots of friends.  We want to PARTY LIKE IT'S 2011!  Have a great weekend!

No pets for us! I have 4 kids, so that is quite enough for me without having to deal with pets. However, the kids keep begging for a dog :)

Why not keep calling her Buffy? ;)

We have 2 Shelties - a Blue Merle named Travis, a Red Merle named Rolex (because they're good watch dogs), a calico cat named Zelda, a new gray rescue kitty we haven't named yet - Princess Nagger is hoping that it's a boy so she can name it Link, but if it's a girl, she'll call her Midna (from Legend of Zelda). We also have a dove whose name changes...I think the last name PN gave her was Virtualization. :) Hubby has a King Snake named Bob.

The Mr. T story is too funny! I would have dropped my coffee had I seen a sight like that, too. ;)

We have a dog - an airedale terrier named Emma. She's big, lovable, lazy, clumsy, and somewhat of a diva, LOL!

I have 3 cats, 2 are mine (Cameron and Mason) and 1 belongs to my son (Tucker) My cats don't like Tucker and make sure he knows it in no uncertain terms!

How cool that Mr. T used to visit the kids at the hospital!

That's awesome. You never told me that about Rocky. Dang, hold on to that picture. It could be worth money some day maybe.

Oh my! That flashback is great! I would have been shocked too! Especially being so sleep deprived and all.
Glad it's a great memory.

And no pets here. As yet. I hope and would want a dog. Dh is NOT a dog person and well I'm NOT a cat person. So it's a stand off kinda. :)

Happy loud weekend to you honey. Enjoy practice!

Sorry to hear about your son's injuries when he was little. What a cool thing for Mr. T to show up for the kids :o) We loved to watch the A Team on tv.

We had a wonderful, sweet, smart chocolate lab, but had to let our close friends have her, when our son was going through chemo at 14yrs old...we were at the hospital for long stays, so it was not fair to our "Liberty". She even would "throw up" during that time, and we realize now that it was most likely cuz she was "sympathizing" or sensing what our son was going through.

Blessings & Aloha!
...doing some blog reading...hope you get a chance to pop over to my place.

Poor little Rocky... I was burned by boiling water when I was a kid, too, so I know how it feels. But we were camping at the time in the backwoods of Maine, so no hospital for me - my dad took care of it, our MD had set him up with an all-you-will-need first aid kit before we left. He knew we'd be gone for 3 weeks. I don't even have a scar, my dad did a great job of debriding and bandaging.
As for pets, well you know what I have, but for your readers, I'll answer: I have 5 Yorkies and 1 Min-Pin/Chihuahua mix named (by age) Mandie, Nano, Mia, Mumbo, Maila, and Mai-Li ~ Yeah, call me crazy!
