Having a bad day!

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen. - Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)

I borrowed this one from a friend that had it on his blog.  Thanks Mike.  It sure came in handy today!  HUGS

Just now I found out some fantastic news, and let me tell you what comes around goes around and that's the truth.  All I want to say now is praise God, and I must go thank the Lord for answering my prayers since 1997.  Thank you Lord up above.  I know you are busy, but You never forget us.  Praise God, and I know You are not done yet, but maybe I have to pray harder for this.  It's just for two more people, and one in particular.  Save him dear Lord.  Save him, and  make him whole once again, and the man he should be.  Save her, and let her be the little girl she should be, and learn the right things instead of the wrong right where she's at.  She has a good mother figure now, and is with the family she should've been in the first place.  Thank you Lord, and please help them when you have the time, and all involved.  Praise God.

Saving Mr. Banks – “Tom Hanks” Featurette

DISNEY’S “SAVING MR. BANKS” BOOK GIVES FANS
SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK
AT THE MAKING OF THE TIMELESS CLASSIC “MARY POPPINS”!
Mary Poppins has been a part of my life when I was little, and then my children's lives when they were little, and now my grandchildren's lives.  The lessons it teaches, the most wonderful classic songs sang that the whole world sings now, but most of all Mr. Hanks!  God bless that man for capturing the most blessed, wonderful, unselfish person in the world Mr. Walt Disney himself.  As they say walk in my shoes?  Mr. Tom Hanks did!  He walked in Mr. Walt Disney's shoes!  He was Walt Disney on film.  You can see it in his tired eyes or when his eyes smiled those were Disney eyes, Mr. Disney's smile.  For those moments Mr. Hanks was Mr. Disney.  God bless that man.
This movie will give you chills!  It will give you joy!  It will give you tears, but most of all it will give you the happiness of reliving when Mary Poppins came to be!

My favorite part is when Emma Thompson started to dance, and when she cried seeing the movie for tears were on my face.  It was the greatest film I've seen in such a long time.  Go see this movie and put yourself into it and pay attention don't miss a single thing.  Believe me it won't be what you expected.  You will walk out of that theater smiling with tears!  ENJOY!

College books rentals, and a new program Rentback Review!

Okay, around here we have a great college called "Waubonsee College".  I know at the high cost of college tuition everyone is looking to cut corners.  Well, I have a friend that has given me some information I'd like to share with you, and that's Campus Book Rentals.

To all you college-goers out there here's some info & the perks of renting textbooks.
  • save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
  • free shipping both ways
  • can highlight in the textbooks
  • flexible renting periods
  • we donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented; and
  • and you can find more at their above website too!

They’ve also set aside $90,000 in textbook scholarships to be distributed to students in communities just like yours. That’s a lot of books in hopes to touch a lot of students who could use a helping hand.
So pass the word about Campus Book Rentals and you can make a difference too!
You can follow them on Twitter at:   https://twitter.com/textbookrentals  and on facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/CampusBookRentals

Now, I just want to say one more thing, and that's Campus Book Rentals also has what they call "Operation Smile"!  What this is Operation Smile it's a "Making a difference program"!
What We Do Offer Places To Donate
Transforming children's lives through surgery.
First off, they have a partnership with Operation Smile. It's an awesome organization that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible, and they feel honored to support the children of Operation Smile, and turn those smiles into smiles Just like these here.

Sisters.  The oldest on the left started college, and then she decided to start a family in hopes she could go back some day.  The baby sister on the right is studying right now to be a nurse.  These young hopefuls need a break with all the tuitions, and extra bills, and Campus Book Rentals is here to try and give them that help.

Okay, so I've told you about CampusBookRentals.com and one more thing I would like to mention that I found out about is their new program, RentBack (www.RentBack.com), check this out.

RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) now is that cool or what?

Delivery Man opens in theaters everywhere November 22, 2013!

“It’s a great premise that is a little bit crazy,” says Vaughn,
“but underneath it all the movie is about family, about
connection and about finding your way, so it has a lot of
heart to it. The movie deals with real issues that families
go through, what people go through in life trying to find
their way and be successful, in a very authentic way. But
there’s also an underlying optimism, warmth and love
to the film that’s very powerful and funny.”

I had the unique privilege to see "The Delivery Man" on the red carpet, and I was in awe!  I had already loved Vince Vaughn from "Fred Claus" (as you know I'm a big Christmas fan), and he was most excellent in that movie also.  The Delivery Man just showed a similar part of him being the funny man that he is, but yet in a serious way!  Now, he is definitely a big family man to say the least in both of these pictures it comes out, but especially in, "Delivery Man".  In fact, he was supposed to show up to the opening, but his wife was in labor, so I guess I can forgive him for that.  It didn't matter because The Delivery Man was awesome.  It will not disappoint I promise you.  I laughed my butt off where I should, and shed a tear a few moments later.  It was just awesome.  You almost felt like you were there.  A part of the movie.  I'm telling you you have to go see this movie.  I know here ya go!  Here's a taste on what you will see!

Getting Ready for Baby: Essentials for Newborns

Recently, I discussed doing a Guest Post with my friend Tanya, and this is what we came up with (I collaborated just a tiny bit, but Tanya did the entire article.  Picture is mine).  So sit back and enjoy our...

"Getting Ready for Baby: Essentials for Newborns"

Being pregnant is a magical time for most mums and, while some may suffer more than others, knowing that there’s light at the end of the tunnel continues to spur mums on and keep them staying positive. It’s certainly not an easy time but, as long as you focus on the good, any discomfort that crops up along the way can be forgotten about.

While, for the most part, being pregnant brings with it a chance to step back, relax and calm down a little, it’s difficult to shut your mind off completely. Despite friends and family telling you to take it easy and to relax whenever you can, it’s hard when you have so much to think about!

From scan dates and blood tests to plans for the nursery and what to pack into your hospital bag, there’s a lot to think about and, while nine months may seem a long time, you’ll be surprised at how quickly it passes by.

One of the things that you need to consider in advance of the big day is what sort of essentials your baby will need once he has entered the world. The more you can prepare before his birth, the better. After all, what brand new mum will want to be traipsing around baby stores as soon as they’ve left the delivery ward?

So, what does a newborn baby need?

  • A Car Seat – if you’re planning to both be driven home from the hospital, a car seat will be essential. One that fits onto a pram or travel system would be even better.
  • A Pram – As mentioned above, a pram is a must if you hope to be getting out and about to show him off to everyone!
  • A Cot – While an actual cot could wait a little bit, a Moses basket that can be put next to your side of the bed will aid in night feeds. It’s recommended, nowadays, for them to sleep in your room until they’re 6months old, too.
  • A baby mobile for them to be stimulated by when they’re in their cot or Moses basket will help them to be entertained while they’re awake (and you’re not!)
  • Nappies and toiletries – it’s up to you whether you choose to use disposable or reusable nappies. Whatever you choose though, make sure you have plenty.
  • Clothes – various sizes are ideal because it’s amazing how quickly they grow! A good selection of babygros, sleepsuits and outfits will be helpful – although, remember, you’re likely to get plenty of cute little outfits as gifts.
  • Muslin squares – these are often considered to be even more of a must-have than bibs. They can be used for almost everything and are bigger than bibs, too.
  • Feeding supplies – these aren’t really necessary if you’re breastfeeding but if you plan to express or formula feed, they’re crucial.

While this list certainly isn’t an exhaustive one, it gives you a basis to work from. Start buying little bits before he’s born, or add them to your baby shower gift list to help inspire others!

The Delivery Man is almost here! Review

Who is that talking to the Delivery Man? Did he not make his delivery or was late as usual thing?
~hehehe~  Check me out!

Now, I was invited to the red carpet to see this movie at the Blog-Her 13 Convention.  Yep, I sure was, but we were sworn to secrecy!  Now I'm a movie buff , and anyone who knows me knows that I am, and I'm pretty critical, and actually I like old movies better than I like the ones that are coming out these days, but let me tell you "Vince Vaughn" is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors.   Did you know he played a leading role in "Fred Claus" as Santa's brother too?  ~hehehe~  Another favorite movie!  Well, let me tell you "Delivery Man" is going to become your favorite movie too!  Oh my gosh, I can't wait until it comes out just so I can see it again!  Oh yes, I am definitely going to go see it again as soon as it's at the theater November 22nd, 2013~  Anyone wanna join me!  Love, joy and laughter is what you'll see in this movie, and a bit confusion so pay attention to the little stuff too!  Woo Hoo

The Fifth Estate: Release date/October 18, 2013

***The Fifth Estate refers to citizen journalism. “Fifth Estate” is used to describe media outlets (including the blogosphere) that see themselves in opposition to mainstream media (the official press), any class or group in society other than the clergy (First Estate), the nobility (Second Estate), the commoners (Third Estate) and the press (Fourth Estate). It has been used to describe civil society, the poor or the proletariat.***

My personal opinion by what I've seen so far this movie has perfect timing, and I'll just leave it at that!  I could be wrong though because I have not seen the entire movie, but thus far it's my opinion.  Take it for what it's worth.  Should be interesting.  I'll be sitting right smack in the middle of the theater for this one.  I want to see everything.  I like to see the entire movie.  Sometimes it's the little things you miss that are important, and I don't thing anything should be missed.

Disney's Into the Woods Announcement

Meryl Streep as a witch in Disney's new "Into the Woods"

Meryl Streep creeps “Into the Woods” as a Witch who tries to reverse a curse, so that the beauty she once had may be restored. The humorous and heartfelt musical, a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, explores the consequences of the quests of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, and the witch who cast a spell on them. In theaters Dec. 25, 2014.  Holy crap this is gonna be good!  Oooops sorry!  I guess the thought kind of ran away with me didn't it.  lol

I wanted to share with you the exciting news that Walt Disney Studios is turning INTO THE WOODS into a movie with an all-star ensemble cast including Johnny Depp (he's so fine), Meryl Streep (I always loved her ever since I seen her in Mama Mia. Fabulous Actress), Chris Pine, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick and more! It just went into production not that long ago so there's only a few images!
