WEIGHT BE GONE! Going, Going, Gone????

Hi Everyone! This is my Weight Be Gone Thursday. If you would like to follow me in my journey you are welcome, and if you'd like to share your own journey feel free to leave your link in a comment and  I'll come visit you, and read your story too! (For the past month I've had a linky, but guess no one else is on a diet lol).

My journey starts due to the reality of life's threats in that I have much to do & want to stick around to do it.  Okay, so last week in case you weren't here I got this note from the doctor:

Marie
I apologize for the delay. There were several issues that needed to be addressed and clarified by the insurance company and they took their sweet time getting back to me.  Basically Humana will cover bariatric, weight loss, surgery for you as your BMI is above 40. They will only cover the sleeve procedure if your BMI is above 50 which yours is not.  They do require a psychiatric evaluation before surgery to be sure that there are no psychological issues that would cause problems after surgery. I would recommend that you make an appointment in our Psychiatry dept to get this evaluation. I will put in a referral for you to see a surgeon to discuss the bariatric surgeon. Humana requires that you see a "Humana Center of Excellence" for this. Lifeweigh Bariatrics is a center of excellence and they are the group that I send patients to so I would recommend them. If you would prefer to see someone else let me know and I can check, quickly this time, to see if they are a center of excellence.
MY DOCTOR - MD  (1ST NOTE)

2ND NOTE AFTER I QUESTIONED THE 1ST NOTE:
Humana will only cover the "sleeve" procedure if your BMI is &50 but will cover other forms of bariatric surgery, ie lap band, gastric bypass, with a BMI&35 Lifeweigh will evaluate you for these other options and the Psychiatry eval is required for any of the procedures. Sorry I wasn't clear on this in my previous message.  MY DOCTOR - MD

So, what it is if I didn't lose the 38 lbs my insurance would've paid for the operation I wanted!  Now instead I have to do it their way!  So I'm gonna make this week short and sweet because there's real nothing to tell, but I'm having one of these done because I cannot take the pain in my back anymore and it is traveling down my legs.  My shots are the 18th!  Halleluiah !  Now I have two months hopefully to get things in the works.  I made the appointment for the shrink and that's not until October 20 something (gonna have to look that up), and give the other place a call.  So, here's what I'm going to do.  I'll keep you abreast of things as they happen, but I'm sure it won't be every week, but it'll be under this title on Thursday.  Wish me luck my friends and hopefully I'll have an update for you soon.

Have a wonderful day!

WEIGHT BE GONE!

Hi Everyone! This is my Weight Be Gone Thursday. If you would like to follow me in my journey you are welcome, and if you'd like to share your own journey feel free to sign my linky below, and I'll come visit you, and read your story too! If you have a great diet recipe you would like to share I'd appreciate it very much.

The reason I've started my journey is I had a rude awakening to the reality of life's threats in that if I still wanted to lead a fun, and somewhat of a meaningful happy life I had to make some serious changes.

Okay, weighed in this morning at 251 and finally starting to get rid of some of this water. I've had a discussion with the doctor, and I've been thinking about this for a very long time, and he's checking with my insurance company to see if they will cooperate as long as I have a medical opinion that medically I need this operation. So I've done my research, and I'm still waiting to hear from him.

Now, I'm not waiting around I've got my scholarship and heading back to Delnor Health and Wellness Center.  Love this place.  They've got everything.  So yesterday I went for orientation on the machines.  Which ones I should be doing how many, what weight, etc. etc.  Sounds like a plan to me.
Kyle

Kyle is the very nice man that really knew his business, and helped me so much .  Thanks bunches, dude.  Had a blast learning all the great stuff  you taught me.  You really know you stuff and I learned much.  Thank you.

Weight Be Gone! One Woman's journey back to good health!

Hi Everyone!  This is my Weight Be Gone Thursday for me.  If you'd like to follow me in my journey you are welcome.  If you'd like to share your own journey feel free to sign my linky below, and I'll come visit you or if you have a great diet recipe that would be appreciated very much. Thank you.  The reason I've started my journey is I had a rude awakening to the reality of life in that I'm not getting any younger, and if I still wanted to lead a fun, and  happy life I had to make  some serious changes.

Still containing water due to the weather, and due to my shots being only a few days away and then I can start my exercising again & water aerobics I'll be doing better, but I'm so NOT giving up.  I weighed in this morning at... well it's 251 not much difference, but at least I didn't gain.  Maybe I need one of these weight watchers or nutri-system or those surgeries.  I don't know, but I think I'll talk to my doctor about it soon.  I've noticed my blog has moved and I don't know how to fix it.  This is the only one it's doing it.  Any suggestions????

So if you wanna leave me a cool recipe to help me on my quest that would be great or any great ideas for me that's good too.  Also, if you're like me and want to tag along and tell us how you're doing sign my linky and we'll all hop around and see how y'all are doing and swap stories or good things to do to help each other out.  We have to stick together on this.  Thanks so much.  It would be nice to have a bud to talk with regarding weight struggles.

Here's some tips about fruit you might like that I got in an e-mail the other day I'd like to share with you!

IF YOUR LIKE ME THEY DONT LAST THAT LONG.
But here's a good Berries idea...  a friend e-mailed this to me, so I'm sharing with by bloggy friends!

Good Idea!!

This is an awesome piece of info!  We eat fresh fruit every day and because we eat a little of each (Banana, Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Grapes, Cantaloupe, Pineapple & Watermelon) every day the berries start to go bad quickly and end up in the garbage. Not anymore thanks to this great tip.

The key to preventing moldy berries...

Berries are delicious, but they're also kind of delicate.  Raspberries in particular seem like they can mold before you even get them home from the market.  There's nothing more tragic than paying $4 for a pint of local raspberries, only to look in the fridge the next day and find that fuzzy mold growing on their insides.    Well, with fresh berries just starting to hit farmers markets, we can tell you that how to keep them fresh!  Here’s a tip I’m sharing on how to  prevent them from getting there in the first place:

Wash them with vinegar.

When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider probably work best) and ten parts water.  Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge.  The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria that might be on the surface of the fruit, and voila!  Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft.  So go forth and stock up on those pricey little gems, knowing they'll stay fresh as long as it takes you to eat them.   You're so berry welcome!

Okay, sad news here.  Due to the heat I'm containing water big time, and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the three digits, and this mama is staying home with her feet up.  I'll be blogging from our front-room  sitting in my recliner.  Oh well, ya gotta do what you gotta do.  I went to the Dermatologist yesterday for my legs.  It's definitely diagnosed that I have cellulitis, and I have to start wearing these dumb sucks socks.  No more flip flops.  So sad.  I love my flip flops.  She said if I didn't I would get ulcers and my skin would start weeping and I could lose a foot.  Tell me more good news!  Sheesh!  Forget that crap! Mama likes to dance!  Gonna have to do some serious dieting here.  I'll start losing when I can exercise.  My shots have worn off back to a cane and walker, and July 11th I'll be back to normal for another 2 months.  Soon as these practicing physicians turn into to doctors and stop practicing I can get it together!  IS THERE A FREAKING DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?

Okay, I weighed in at 253 and I'm saying 10lbs of it is probably water weight the way my feet and legs look so hopefully by staying in the air things will go back down.  I just can't go outside any time soon.  I hate me!  Okay, I had my mammogram, and all those other girly test and I'm healthy as a horse I'm told.  YEAH RIGHT!  Wish my girls would tell the rest of my body how to be healthy.  I've been thinking on looking up Dr. Oz's website.  Anyone ever do that?  Well, I'm going to and next week I'll tell you if I found anything out.  Have a great week everyone and as usual if you have any cool recipes let me have some or if you want to share your own healthy/diet adventure sign my linky so we can share!  Hugsssss to all!

First of all, so sorry I'm so late. but here goes anyway!  Okay, it's been a few weeks, and  when I was on vacation got lots of walking in, so hopefully I tightened up some of this flab!  So I weighed in on my own scale so who knows if that's accurate, but I'm hoping so and I weighed in at 250 so I'm holding steady.  Yep, right on the head.  Today being as my granddaughter is staying with me for the week & helping me around the house going to cut this one short & sweet.  Any recipes to share or tell me how you're diet is going if you're on one feel free to share in a comment or sign my linky and I'll come & visit & whoever else wants too!  Thanks!!!

A quick recipe from diet.com.  Is this not cool or what!?!

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken - Lactose Free
Servings: 4

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup low sodium teriyaki sauce (or 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce with 2 tbsp brown sugar)
  • 1 20-ounce can pineapple rings, plus 1/3 cup juice from the can
  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions
  1. Whisk teriyaki sauce (or soy sauce, brown sugar) and the 1/3 cup pineapple juice in a large bowl. Add pineapple rings and chicken and gently stir to coat. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat grill to medium-high, or oven to 400°F.
  3. Remove the chicken and pineapple from the marinade and pat dry; reserve the marinade. Oil the grill rack. Grill the chicken and pineapple until the chicken is cooked through and the pineapple is marked, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  4. Whisk the reserved marinade and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook, whisking, until reduced and thickened, 2 to 4 minutes. Serve the chicken and pineapple drizzled with the sauce.

Well folks going to have to skip this week cuz we bees on V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N! I will say one thing getting in some walking too, which is a good thing, and of course swimming.  Tomorrow Great America again, and when I get back I'm going to the Key Lime Cove Paradise Mist Spa , which was given to me by the General Manager, Dale McFarland of the Key Lime Cove Indoor Water Park Resort in return for a review, which will be posted as soon as I get back.  So tomorrow I'm going there, and I'll let you know all about it.  Woo Hoo.  I'm going to say probably over the weekend.  So come back, and check it out.  THANKS!  Having a great time and wish YOU ALL were here!

We made friend with the Cove's bestest security Rick Munson extremely helpful & one helleva nice guy!  HI RICK!  What a nice smile, huh, but that's another Post coming soon!  Really and it's all about that big smile. It pays to know the local authorities ya never know right? Hahaha He must be bored because this place is just too fun to have any trouble, so what does he do?  He just helps everyone with everything and anything.  He's truly an asset to "The KeyLime Cove" for sure!

And just one more before I go:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY!
Also:  A quick recipe I enjoy for the summer:

For Waldorf Style Chicken Salad you will need:

  • 1 Large Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Juicy & Firm Apples
  • 1 cup Green Seedless Grapes
  • 1/2 cup Celery
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts
  • 1/4 cup Light Mayo
  • 1/4 cup Plain Balkan Style Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Substitute salt & Pepper to taste if needed
Grilled the chicken breast till done, but it’s nice and juicy. Let it cool down and then chopped into smaller cubes & then wash and dry all your fruit and vegetables.

In a bowl combine chopped apples, chopped celery, cut up grapes (in halves), chopped walnuts, mayo, yogurt and lemon juice. Mix it well. Add the chicken and toss it gently around till everything is lightly cover with the mayo and yogurt mixture.

This week I've had my shots, which are called Transforaminal (TFSI), and usually I could jump off that table and feel great this time something weird happened.  I get these shots on both sides, and this time my left side went bonkers and it hurt so bad I had to be wheeled to the car, and the shots hurt so bad that I needed cold packs.  The next two days I was drained and tired & then all of a sudden I started to feel a bit better and the only think my left hip still bugs me and I do have a call into him.  Anyway today I went for a check up at the Cardiologist and I weighed in.  Okay good news blood pressure is good, and that';s been good for a while.  Pulse - fine.  Weight....  250  DAMMIT!  I cannot break this ice that my weight is hovering around 250.  Well, I did find out some sorta good news a possible lack of Vitamin D, and if this is true that could be why I'm having the weakness in the bones.  Woo Hoo Could you imagine.  If I go through this routine with this Vitamin D stuff I could be strong again & boogie again & do things I use to do.  Hell, I could even go back to work!!!!  ........................ OR NOT!  hehehhe  Well, I'll keep you posted on that.

So here's my health tip of the day.  I love smoothies so here's one for ya!

Blender:  COCO -PEACH PINA COLADA
1 cup of frozen sliced peaches
1 container of nonfat pineapple=coconut yogurt
1/4 cup light coconut milk
1 tbs. flaxseed meal, like Bob's Red Mill  (this one I skip - I can't find it)

In blenderm, pouree all ingredients 30 sec. or until smooth.  Sweeten to taste. (I use Splenda) and pour!

If you'd like to share your journey of battle of the bulge feel free to sign the linky and I'll come by and see what's up or if you have any diet tips feel free to leave them in a comment.  As I've said before Weight Watchers I just don't think I could go through all that Jennifer Hudson mumbo jumbo.  It's to each their own and what they can do.  Have a great day.

This week has been tough on me because my stenosis has flared up due to me getting my shots this Friday so I can feel human again.  Once I get those I can get back to my walks and a bit of exercising. I weighed in at 248 which means I gained a pound.  Uncool, but as I said I really was expecting anything being as I've been stuck in this chair most of the week.  So short and sweet and if y'all got any recipes for me or diet tips please feel free to leave it in a comment.  Thanks bunches.  Don't forget to sign my linky if you'd like to share your own diet journey, and I'll come visit you.  Thanks for stopping by.

Weight Be Gone!

Hi Everyone!
Last week I was 250 lbs. & drum roll please 247lbs. I cannot believe I broke the ice.  Unfortunately my exercising has come to a halt, but still watching what I eat until after my shots & I'll be back at the health club this time for some water aerobics & more walking.  Love you all & thanks for stopping by.

WEIGHT LOSS TIPS:
  • BECOME A SLOW EATER: if you eat slow, chew a lot and savor every bite, this tricks your body into thinking it's full with less food. If you eat too fast, you tend to over eat.
  • SKIP THE MEAT OCCASIONALLY: meatless meals help you trim calories. Replace it with vegetables and fruits.
  • Red/marinara sauce is better than Alfredo or creamy sauce when you are counting calories.
  • DOWNSIZE YOUR PLATE: use a 10" lunch plate instead of a dinner plate. this tricks your body into thinking more food even though you are eating less. It is all in the mind.
If you have any tips for me, please kindly leave them in a comment.  Also, if you're on a diet journey and you want to share please sign my linky below.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Oh, and I finally got my video from my walk in the park.  Would  you like to see it.  Well, let's go for a walk.

Weight Be Gone!

Hi Everyone!

Last week I was 251 lbs. & as of this morning 250 lbs. no exercising until my shots just watching what I eat & getting movement when I can.  I'd like to give this little prayer to you all who diet along with me, and remember it in your heart for every situation.  Love you all & thanks for stopping by.

 The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
                                                                                   --Reinhold Niebuhr

A friend, Janet from Janet's Book Place put this up last week, and I just wanted to reiterate that if we all live by this wonderful golden rule how much better off we would be. As they say we are all our own worst enemy.  As you all know I have Spinal Stenosis and now I'm fighting with practicing physicians that I wish they would stop practicing on me.  I need me a FOR REAL DOCTOR, and as it were I'm still trying to find one, and still fighting this cellulitis that won't go away, but is getting worse.  My shots are not due until May 11th and I can get back to my exercising, but for now I've gone from my cane to my walker because the pain just won't leave me alone in the morning, and sometimes the whole day.  So until then I watch what I eat and my portion size, and I still lift my 3lb weights at the desk while I read your wonderful comments and Posts.

Here's a recipe from me:  XmasDolly's Baby Spinach Salad.
Baby Spinach, cherry tomatoes, one chopped boiled egg, and one chopped green onion. Two tbls. of lite Ranch dressing (or whatever you like).  A couple of wheat crackers & what a fantastic lunch or supper.  Oh well, I like it.  hehehe  Have a great day!

Last week I was 250 lbs. & as of this morning 251 lbs. don't ask me how, but I am.  Want to apologize to you all this will be short post today because I'm very behind on everything.  My Stenosis is climbing to its peak again and my shots aren't until May 11th.  Yesterday was a very bad day.  Today was a bit better and I hope today is good too.

I've been eating Special K for breakfast most of the time, and campbell's soup for lunch, and salads or fish for supper.  One day a week I've been eating meat.  Today was a meat day. I had a small baby spinach salad with mushrooms & cherry tomatoes Lite Ranch dressing and a 95% lean burger on a lite muffin with lettuce and ketchup.  A bottle of water to drink.  Then after I made coffee, Dave's lunch and did the dishes I had some sugar free jello cup.

Thank you for stopping by, and giving me your support that's much needed.  If you check my Pinterest I've been collecting diet tips and recipes if you're interested.  Below you'll find my linky if you'd like to share you're own diet journey and we can travel together.  Have a great day and may your pounds shed away and never find you again.

Thanking you for stopping by, and listening. I do have a button to the left if you'd like it so you can come back next Thursday. If you'd like to join me in my journey - make a spreadsheet like me and sign my linky & we'll follow this yellow brick road to the wizard and ask him for a new body!

Last week I was 253 lbs. & as of this morning hurrah I'm back to 250 lbs. don't ask me how, but I am.  Want to apologize to you all this will be short post today because I'm at my daughter's babysitting & my laptop is not picking up a signal that well & I had to wait forever for my Post to come up.  I was going to put the great recipe up today, but it you'll go on my Pinterest you'll see I've been collecting a few diet recipes that look really good.  My daughter who is in Florida right now (Disney sent her) is there for the red carpet on "Chimpanzee", and some other stuff at Disneyland I believe.  I think I might be taking a ride home just because I miss my house & my "Baby" our black lab.  I LOVE MY HOME! Hubby has made it quite comfortable there for me.  I never had the stuff I have now.  I always kid him and say, "I got STUFF", & he smiles & chuckles a bit at me.  Yep, he's a good ol' boy if ya gotta have one.

Guess I'll go finish working on my taxes for now cuz this puter is driving me nuts besides... oh wait, that's right TIME TO GO FOR A RIDE!  AS ET SAYS....  HOOOOMMMMMME!  Besides I have to be back here to pick up my other two grand kids anyway before three.  Adios my friends & wish me luck for the upcoming week, and oh...  still waiting to stain the porch ( cuz it's treated), and they started our new patio today out in front next to the new porch.  WOO HOO!  But that's another Post.

Thank you to you all for being here for me to kinda help me when I got the blues.  My Kayla, Callie, Stacy, Lori, Cheryl, Liz and Naila-Moon, Jana, Denise, Cathy Kennedy, and naturally the one that makes me laugh is W.C. Camp and if I've forgotten anybody in particular I'm sorry, but all of you not anyone person.

Oh and I'm sorry I tried to do the linky, but it was taking forever.  Next week for sure or maybe I'll try to put it in when I get hoooommme!  Okay, off to wake my Shawnie up. He had a bit of a melt down yesterday to wake up & find no Mommy, but after that he was a complete Angel for me.  Such a sweetie.  My granddaughter has been my right arm and my SIL I new he was a good husband for my daughter cuz he loves her & these kids so much, but after working hard all day & he comes showers & he starts in taking care of these kids, helping me cook and gave them baths & played games with them and fooled around like play wrestling and they way he speaks to his daughter my Bri, is so so sweet you can just hear the love besides see it.  Yes, he's a great dad.  So more later I'm going hommmme, so I can be back on time (I live 45 minutes away).  Hugzzzzzz to all!  Thanks again.  Muuuuwaaahhhhh'

I'm HOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE & I LOVE IT HERE, BUT TIME TO GO BACK UNTIL TOMORROW when I'm HOME for good!  WOO HOO!  I missed my house & my stuff, but it's fun being with the grandkids too.  HERE'S THE LINKY!  FOUND TIME TO DO IT HERE!

Weight Be GONE - One Woman's journey back to good health

Hi Everyone!  This is my Weight Be Gone Thursday for me.  If you'd like to follow me in my journey you are welcome.  If you'd like to share your own journey feel free to sign my linky below, and I'll come visit you.  The reason I've started my journey is I had a rude awakening to the reality of life in that I'm not getting any younger, and if I still wanted to lead a fun, and  happy life I had to make some serious changes.

Last week I believe I told you I weighed in at 250 lbs. As of today I weighed in at 253.  I have gained 3lbs.  If you seen yesterday's Post.  You would have saw that my leg is a bit wrapped up do to Cellulitis (maybe - read yesterday's Post), and as soon as my leg starts to feel better I'll be exercising again.  Also, my grandson turned four years old, and NaNee cheated with a bit of ice cream & last weekend my granddaughter stayed with me to help me out around the house and we had some quality time together.  This week do to medical problems I'm depressed because I cannot walk around the park, which was a feat in itself for me.  I'm still watching my portions and what I eat, but I guess that's not enough.  Some people have told me maybe it's muscle weight, but who knows.  I need to break the ice, which means to get into the 240's numbers, as you see in the picture below no exercise is possible??

Tomorrow is the doctor's and this might be coming off, but then my right leg will look like this for treatment,  OH JOY!

So for now if you'd like to sign my linky and share out your diet or a low cal recipe, anything regarding losing weight that would be wonderful.  Thanks for dropping by, and anyone that would like to leave a comment in any of my reviews or if you'd like to check out my give-aways feel free my friends and have a great day!

BodyMind WeightLoss Review/Give-Away Ends 4.12

Improving Your Self Image is a key to Improving Your Self!

Last week I told you all about BodyMind Weight Loss I downloaded, and the message it puts across to help you lose weight.  I have been listening to these every day now for a week, and personally not only has it helped me with keeping my mind active & watching my eating habits, but has also been quite soothing as far as my nerves are concerned.  These tips stick in my head, but it reminds me that every day when I shop what to look for.  When I go out to eat... how I should order.  New habits to be formed.

Today's weight begone is going to be a bit different, and I would not only like to reiterate what I told you about this product that I've been using, but BodyMind Weight Loss would like to offer the same program to one of my readers.  (You may enter below on Rafflecopter).

Two weeks ago I weighed in at 260 lbs, and today I am...  (drum roll please cuz Mama broke the ice - woo hoo) 250 lbs. exactly!  Still watching my portions & the exercises I told you about.

BodyMind Weight Loss Hypnosis Pack is a set of 3 professionally scripted and recorded self-hypnosis sessions designed to manage and maintain weight loss, healthy eating, and exercise.  Used regularly, these recordings will naturally promote healthy habits and natural, effortless weight loss.  BodyMind Weight Loss was sent to me, and as far as I'm concerned somebody up there likes me.  Actually, what they are are recordings to help you one: relax talking to you in such a soothing voice, and explains to you about your body to help you get it ready for your weight loss journey.  It almost reminded me as a subliminal messaging.  So, let me tell you briefly what it is.  You get four files along with instructions:
  • Instructions
  • 1st recording is for the first week, "Eating Healthy", and you listen to it once a day.  It's very soothing
  • 2nd recording is for the second week, "Naturally slim", and then you listen to that once a day, and also the first recording you listen to it once this week.
  • 3rd recording/third week, "Fitness Motivation".  In the third week you listen to this recording every day, and you listen to the other two once this week.
  • The 4th week what you do is listen to each of the recordings once.
  • Then after the fourth week you listen to each recording once a month.
And naturally we do not listen to these recordings while driving or doing something strenuous that needs your full attention.  So, I'm going to use these recordings because as far as I'm concern I'm using all the help offered to me.  OH YES!  Somebody up there likes me.  As they say when one door closes another one opens.

FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE

Dear Friends:

Hung-Shing Tsang, MD
I wanted to write this Post to you to let you know what has happened in  my life.  My own children doesn't even know, but my husband and doctors.  Yesterday I went to my Pain Control Managment doctor, Dr. Tsang who is a wonderful man, and a genius of a doctor.  He can almost walk on water (well I guess he could if it was ice ~snicker~).  He gave me my shots for the pain in  my back & leg yesterday called, "Transforaminal (TFSI).  I haven't had my last shot since November & I needed a walker in the morning to walk out the pain.  I would wake up 2/3 times a night because of the pain.  It's a very long story, but I'll give you bits & pieces as time goes on.  This man gave me my life back, and I'm so grateful to  him.  Excrutiating pain is no fun for you, and the ones around you.  My poor husband helped and put up with me ever since this began.  He use to say to me on want the woman I married back again.  Well, she's coming back slowly, but surely.  So, Dr. Tsang told me something yesterday that hit home (finally).  Lose weight or the pain will be this difficult the rest of your life, and will make matters worse.  So as you see it's not a question on just looking better.  It's a question of my LIFE!  Do I want to live happy or do I want to live shortly & miserable?  My friends I WANT TO LIVE!  I have too many things to do to die just yet.
Dr. Mary Gordon.  My Cardio.  My Friend.

Also, I have another doctor on  my side whom I trust and believe in, and who is also my friend.  Dr. Mary Gordon, cardiologist.  Dr. Mary N Gordon DO practices cardiology and internal medicine in Aurora, Illinois. Dr. Gordon graduated with a DO 13 years ago.

Medical School:

Chicago College Of Osteopathic Medicine Of Midwestern University, Midwestern University
Downers Grove, Illinois, United States and Graduated: 1999.  I have high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat and over-weight. Also I have Venous insufficiency.  My blood count is the border line to cellulits.  She also said last week it's not a question of you being overweight anymore it's a question to lose the weight to lose the pain, and conditions.  So here's what it all boils down too.  I will give you an update once a week on Saturday to update you.  Today I weigh 261 lbs.  So not happy!  Wish me luck.  I have so many things to do before I meet my maker like taking care of my husband and children and grand-children and I want to see each and every nine grand-child get married  or just be happy with themselves.  I don't think that's too much to ask.  Love to you all I have to wait a couple days before exercising, but the diet has already started.  Not frying with oil (using spray - for me), and I'm going back on  my no white diet, and cutting down on portions.  Well, off to the store to buy fish, fresh veggies, my 35 cal. slice of wheat bread which will only be used on weekend for toast & I love my toast, but it will be cut down to weekend.  This morning I made a 2 egg omelete with cut up fresh spinach, chopped a half an onion, one finely chopped 1/4 of tomato, Mrs. Dash on top & a little parsley  Oh and this brand fit & trim (you can get it at aldi's) they have light blend of Mexican Cheese (white & yellow) chopped. I sprinkled a tad on top.  mmmmmm it was really good oh and a tall glass of Skim milk (which I like).  Shortly I will have a tall glass of diet raspberry tea.  Maybe a banana for potassium.

So have a good day my friends,  Wish me luck & any and all suggestions is welcome.  Thanks again for stopping by have a great weekend, and don't forget about our Monday's Music Moves Me.  This week is all about commercials.  Put your oldest, funniest, dumbest commercials you can fine.  LOL  Thanks for listening/reading.
