HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY ANGEL 4/09/77

Angelina Anne-Marie 4-09.77 to 8.05.77

My baby girl died from S.I.D.S. at the tender age of four months old and was laid out in her Christening dress made in Italy from her Godfather, James Thomas Seminara R.I.P. (Anne-Marie was after her godmother).  I went to the cemetery to put fresh flowers on her grave along with my mother
Me & Mom (Carmela Mildred/Grandma Vegas) 3.29.21 to 4.20.06 RIP

Her birthday was recently & my daughter, my grandchildren & my cousin and I all went there. My Uncle Jim (my cousin's dad) we visited too. More recently my sweet cousin Dom who I grew up with.  I miss them so much.  All though it happened so many years ago so many times it feels like it was only yesterday.  I saw this on face book today and wanted to share.

Please keep them in your prayers.  Thank you!

FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE

Dear Friends:

Hung-Shing Tsang, MD
I wanted to write this Post to you to let you know what has happened in  my life.  My own children doesn't even know, but my husband and doctors.  Yesterday I went to my Pain Control Managment doctor, Dr. Tsang who is a wonderful man, and a genius of a doctor.  He can almost walk on water (well I guess he could if it was ice ~snicker~).  He gave me my shots for the pain in  my back & leg yesterday called, "Transforaminal (TFSI).  I haven't had my last shot since November & I needed a walker in the morning to walk out the pain.  I would wake up 2/3 times a night because of the pain.  It's a very long story, but I'll give you bits & pieces as time goes on.  This man gave me my life back, and I'm so grateful to  him.  Excrutiating pain is no fun for you, and the ones around you.  My poor husband helped and put up with me ever since this began.  He use to say to me on want the woman I married back again.  Well, she's coming back slowly, but surely.  So, Dr. Tsang told me something yesterday that hit home (finally).  Lose weight or the pain will be this difficult the rest of your life, and will make matters worse.  So as you see it's not a question on just looking better.  It's a question of my LIFE!  Do I want to live happy or do I want to live shortly & miserable?  My friends I WANT TO LIVE!  I have too many things to do to die just yet.
Dr. Mary Gordon.  My Cardio.  My Friend.

Also, I have another doctor on  my side whom I trust and believe in, and who is also my friend.  Dr. Mary Gordon, cardiologist.  Dr. Mary N Gordon DO practices cardiology and internal medicine in Aurora, Illinois. Dr. Gordon graduated with a DO 13 years ago.

Medical School:

Chicago College Of Osteopathic Medicine Of Midwestern University, Midwestern University
Downers Grove, Illinois, United States and Graduated: 1999.  I have high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat and over-weight. Also I have Venous insufficiency.  My blood count is the border line to cellulits.  She also said last week it's not a question of you being overweight anymore it's a question to lose the weight to lose the pain, and conditions.  So here's what it all boils down too.  I will give you an update once a week on Saturday to update you.  Today I weigh 261 lbs.  So not happy!  Wish me luck.  I have so many things to do before I meet my maker like taking care of my husband and children and grand-children and I want to see each and every nine grand-child get married  or just be happy with themselves.  I don't think that's too much to ask.  Love to you all I have to wait a couple days before exercising, but the diet has already started.  Not frying with oil (using spray - for me), and I'm going back on  my no white diet, and cutting down on portions.  Well, off to the store to buy fish, fresh veggies, my 35 cal. slice of wheat bread which will only be used on weekend for toast & I love my toast, but it will be cut down to weekend.  This morning I made a 2 egg omelete with cut up fresh spinach, chopped a half an onion, one finely chopped 1/4 of tomato, Mrs. Dash on top & a little parsley  Oh and this brand fit & trim (you can get it at aldi's) they have light blend of Mexican Cheese (white & yellow) chopped. I sprinkled a tad on top.  mmmmmm it was really good oh and a tall glass of Skim milk (which I like).  Shortly I will have a tall glass of diet raspberry tea.  Maybe a banana for potassium.

So have a good day my friends,  Wish me luck & any and all suggestions is welcome.  Thanks again for stopping by have a great weekend, and don't forget about our Monday's Music Moves Me.  This week is all about commercials.  Put your oldest, funniest, dumbest commercials you can fine.  LOL  Thanks for listening/reading.

SHORT AND SWEET - I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!

Hi Everyone!  I've got something I want to get off my chest because it's really bugging me.  I understand that PR's/companies want Mom's with young children at home to review their products like toys, movies/cartoons, clothes, vacuums, food, well just everything that has to do with children/young adults that are living at home.  Okay, I understand that, and I know that some bloggers have their hands full with these reps just filling up their mailbox.

Now, I've been a young adult to motherhood to a single mom, worked, and raised four children all by myself.  I had the help of my mom, but mostly my children, and especially my oldest daughter. We worked together, and now they're grown, married, and have given me nine beautiful grandchildren and I have remarried my soul-mate since then, and am very happy with my entire family.

Okay, I'm a blogger now and above is a very short synopsis of my experience with family.  I go to fill out a form, and the first thing are you married - yes.  Do you have children?  Yes.  How many children under the age of 18 live at home?  0.  Thank  you and have a nice day!  How ridiculous and actually unfair is that?  All you ladies out there over 40 and have children that are grown and out on their own possibly or even still at home did you forget how to put a diaper on a baby or how to wash their clothes or take care of them when their sick?  Did you forget what they like to play with or watch on TV or what they should, and should not have or do or maybe forget how to clean house when children are around or fix things or maybe being past 40 we're too OLD to know these things.  Isn't this discrimination?

Do we not have children that come over, and like the old cliche' goes, "Spoil them and send them home", but are they not there?  Do we not take care of them?  Don't some of us watch them while their parents are at work all day long, but yet we still are omitted from these companies to review their products.  CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THIS TO ME?  AM I WRONG OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?  I think I'm a pretty good blogger, and aren't we all still learning something new every day?  Do we not by our young grandbabies clothes, toys etc.  Does this not tell us what company to look into and what ones not too?  Nope, don't get it at all.  I personally feel some of these companies should broaden their horizons, and take on the ones that are learning, and keep the ones that have already learned.

Okay, I've said my piece.  I feel better now.  Thanks for listening/reading.

I'm back and MANY THANKS TO ALL!

My cousins - 2 girls are sisters of Dominick & my cousin & Proud Daddy

I just wanted to let everyone know I'm back and doing fine!  As you all know I have had a death in my family, but where there is a death that goes on in our hearts there is also life to help us go on.  My cousin Jimmy and his lovely wife Elcy had a baby boy!  So, we were all worried there would be no one to carry on the Seminara (my mom's maiden name), name, but not to worry any more.  They named him after my uncle Jimmy (Aunt Mitzi's hubby), James Joseph and he was 8lbs.  Woo Hoo!  Can't wait for pics!
Elcy (Proud Mom) & daughter.  She's too sweet & this is her Baby Shower.

I want to thank everyone for all their kind words & messages, and I ask for your patience with my blog because I am sooooooooooooooooo far behind now. Whoosh! Have a great day!

FLIP FLOP PROUDLY PRESENTS "2010 Califonia Moscato" Review

2010 California Moscato
So whether you're at home or a wedding the "California Moscato" should be what's in your glass.  The other day I heard from my new friend at FlipFlop wines & he told me they have a new wine.  Now, first of all let me tell you I'm not a big lover of white wine.  Anyway to continue he told me, "I'm dropping you a quick note to see if you might have any interest in reviewing the flipflop Moscato".  So, okay I'm game!  Anything at least once.  (Adventurous soul aren't I?)  So, he sent me a bottle, and when it finally came (I had to sign for it, so it took a couple of tries - hehe), and I'm pulling the bottle out of the box, and low & behold "A WHITE WINE"!  Oh boy,  not going to like this!  How am I going to do a honest review. I was too curious so I unscrewed the cap, and poured myself a swig.  What's this?  What's this?  Swishing it around in my mouth, and feeling a warmth, and pleasant taste, but what is it?  Hmmm Another sip!  I felt the warmth flowing through my chest as a shot of whiskey would.  mmmmmm That's a good feeling, but what is that taste?  Is it strawberries?  Is it grapes?  Blueberry or is it all rolled into one!!!
My Mama
In fact, I love this wine so much it inspired me to make
some Spaghetti that night just to have an excuse to have some more of this delicious wine.  Just a little sweet added with a little warmth, and a whole lotta curiosity!  You really need to try this wine, and the biggest surprise it it's only SEVEN BUCKS!  Mama Mia!  Thatsa one nice-a price!!!

Now my friend Stephen tells me that this 2010 California Moscato Wine is one of the top medal-winning wines across 15 major wine competitions.  At $7 suggested retail price, flipflop Moscato holds its own in blind taste competitions against wines ranging up to $50.   Why does this not surprise me?  Flipflop Moscato earned Double Gold at the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the largest and most influential internation wine competitions in America.  Wine Enthusiast Magazine gave flipflop Moscato a “Best Buy” in the June issue of the magazine. That is so cool!

flipflop wines collection offers seven different flavors - Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, PInot Noir (which I cook with), Riesling, and my new favorite Moscato, and as they say, "to each, their own"!

Just one more thing!  flipflop wines continues partnership with Soles4Souls
and their concept is a simple concept: to procure shoes and get them to those in need.
*Up to 100,000 pairs in the first year.   Keep up the flippin good work!!

Here's to you flipflop & David Georges for a job well done!
Nummers!  Oops You Caught Me!

Disclaimer: flipflop wines sent me a bottle of Moscato strictly for the purpose of this review.  The opinions I have given are mine, and may differ from others, and it was not influenced in any manner by monetary means and no monies were exchanged.

MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL!

What were you doing that morning in history when a nation of people cried aloud ten years ago?

I was getting ready for work watching the morning news sipping a cup of coffee when I saw the second disastrous plane fly into our second twin tower.  Who switched my channel?  Was I watching a horror movie?  I cannot believe my eyes.  In disbelief I kept getting ready, and left for work.  It was all over the radio, there was a deafening silence in the air.  I was driving past O'Hare Airport, and the airplanes on the ground gave me chills.  They skies were empty!  Oh Lord, can you hear me?  What is going on down here?  Is it the beginning of the end?  Judgment day or is it a warning of what is yet to come?  I still felt empty even though I'm alive, and safe aren't I?  I prayed for my husband, and my family that they were safe too!

We watched in awe and shock that whole night long, and donated what we could, and prayed until dawn.  No survivors as of yet?  None to find.  Dear God are they with you?  Confusion in my mind.  Tower Two fell to the ground, the silence was deafening, there wasn't a sound.  You are my countrymen, my heart is very heave and grief stricken.  What can I do?  I feel so helpless, so empty!  Then something told me to use my hands, as those volunteers did.  They used what talent they had Firemen, Policemen, Doctors, and Nurses.  I don't have talent like them.  What can I do?  Then my fingers started to move.  I felt a tad better with every passing day.  It took me about a month to finish my donation of the day!  Rest in peace my friends, my fellow citizens.  As I watched on television the shadows of the Twin Towers were now two beams of light, and the Lady that stood at the shore of NYC seem to have a tear flow from her eye as she seemed to be waving good-bye!

This is what comforted me. I crocheted the above for 9/11/01 & it comes out once a year!
TAKE CARE ALL OF YOU & BE SAFE! LOOK TWICE & KEEP YOUR FAMILY CLOSE!

*A little something from Dave's website he wanted to share with us.

We (The Designated Riders) find comfort in the fact that when disaster and destruction beyond human comprehension occurs, there are American Heroes who put all others' lives before their own.  We pause, and respectfully remember events on this day 10 years ago.  I have something I want to say that I'm sure my fellow band mates understand and agree with - so I posted it here:

http://www.designatedriders.com/

The Designated Riders respectfully remember the brave souls who put other American lives before their own 10 years ago today.  This violence in the world defies all moral and ethical human sense.  There is hate without any reason.  Now there is a seemingly unending war against those who seek the destruction and suffering of brothers and sisters who do not conform to their blood-thirsty ways of hate, greed and death.  Only those who cannot understand the concept of freedom or bravery would try to damage it's very home, and those cowards revealed who we know as true American Heroes!

This lube is enjoyable for both you and your partner! I definitely suggest this if you want to get your groove back!  You could have a good time using this one!  Mmmm

Now, just one more thing.  I don't know about you, but hey, Girlfriend!  Aren't you getting tired of seeing all these advertisements with the pretty young skinny thing that what she's wearing you couldn't wear since you were maybe 12 yrs. old... okay, okay, maybe 18 yrs. BUT... the fact still remains that these magazines get a little ridiculous with that crap.  I mean just look at this:

Now at edenfantasys talk about slap my mouth, and color me HAPPY! Check out the negligees that us bigger girls can wear now, and these are only a few!  "Oh Honey!  Look what I got you for our Anniversary!"  To be continued?
