I usually take my Corn Beef & cook it in the Crock Pot on Low half the day!  I put it in there with a little bit of water (whatever the pkg. says), and then the seasoning in the package, put the lid on and go SHOPPING!  Yep, then after five or six hrs. on low I take it out and slice it thin with the electric knife, get the dark rye out and build.  So some corn beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese (then I put it in the microwave for a half a minute to melt it)  a little thousand island on the side and WAH LAH a full fledge Reuben!!!  Especially in this hot weather - no real cooking involved.

And speaking of hot weather, summertime & parties!  Here's a treat for you today!

 JELLO SHOTS
INGREDIENTS:

0.35 oz (small boxI) Jello, any flavor
1 cup boiling Water
1 cup Vodka

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
Dissolve jello with 1 cup boiling water, add 1 cup vodka and srir,
pour into shot glasses, ice trays, or in 1 oz plastic cups found at
party supply stores (they even have little lids for them), chill until
firm. Each person can use a knife or their tongue to loosen the edges
of the jello and then suck them down. If you use the 1 oz plastic cups
and lids you can serve them by placing all of the cups in a large bowl
filled with ice...they will stay cold longer, and they look really
festive! * Try making an assortment using several flavors of jello!

AND THIS ONE IS RATED A "BIG" NUMMMMMMMERS!!!!
**Don't forget to check out my Give-Aways!

So now all you have to do is sign our linky to lead us and/or our guests to you to swap a recipe.  Check them all out, and we'll check yours.  If you don't want to write it all down & know of one on line just post a link to it on your blog or leave it in a comment if you prefer!  Enjoy and Bona Petite!!!  Thanks for cooking/sharing along with us!  Don't forget to grab our button if you're a fan!

Do you know I have never made corned beef and cabbage? It's not a 'normal' thing out in the Pacific Northwest - but boy do they like it out here in the Northeast! :) Hubby loves it, so I'm going to have to utilize your yummy recipe for sure!

AND I've never made jello shots - I know!! Crazy, right? I think they're in order soon! ;)

You have picked two of my favorite things. I love reubens, but have never made them. I usually get them when I go out because I didn't realize how easy it could be to make... YUMMY!!!
As for jello shots, OMG to die for. We used to play Jello Shot Trivial Pursuit with my step-son and DIL when we all lived in CT. It gets funnier as you go because you have to eat one when you get a question wrong, the more wrong you get - the more Jello shots you eat. It is a vicious circle, but lots of fun!
Great recipes this week sweetie.

That sounds so delicious! I've only had corned beef from the can before. Terrible, I know.

I love that jello shots made the list this week. LOL some of my favorite combinations are:

Vanilla vodka with orange jello
A good tequila with lime jello
Cranberry vodka with raspberry jello

Slurp! LOL

I too have used a crock pot for corned beef but I'm afraid I must admit to opening a can of hash more often than not when I'm in the mood and a skillet is handy!! W.C.C.

Whew - I haven't had jello shots in forever! Definitely good for summer ;) Hubs loves rubens I'll have to make this for him. I'm not a big sauerkraut girl so I just eat them by "scent"..lol
