WELCOME TO OUR 6th "RECIPE SWAP MEET"!
"Oh no, what am I going to make tonight"? Why not pick one of our Recipes! Your grandmother's secret recipe has a coming out party and it's tonight!

Lorie's recipe is at her blog.
We all have recipes from our family archives that we've collected over the years, and maybe some we have swapped from friends, magazines, cookbooks, & neighbors!

I start with a half pot of water throwing in a nice size beef soup bone, and about six chicken wings. Sometimes I use beef neckbones. Love to eat the beef off of those babies when it's been cooking in soup all day.
After that's cooked a bit I start to add veggies.

1 bag carrots (sliced)
1 stalk of celery (chopped incl. a few leaves here and there)
1 onion also chopped & 3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
2 cans of chicken broth
2 cans of stewed tomatoes (I quish the tomatoes while coming out of the can.
1/2 turnip (quartered)

Now for the seasoning, and this is hard to tell you how much. The only way I can describe is to shake until the top layer is covered or to taste.
Garlic, Oregano, Season Salt, pepper, accent (just a tad), and 1 bay leaf
3 cubes ea. of chicken and beef broth
Once this starts to boil bring flame down to low and let it cook for 3 to 4 hours
When you would like to eat about a hour a head of time put in enough salt as you would for spaghetti noodles turn up the flame and when you see it start to bubble a tad put in Orzo noodles (yay I found out the name - I only knew the word in Italian before because my gram didn't know what it was in English). Stir every so... until noodles are done, and serve adding Parmesan cheese on top.
