MiMi is my son-in-law's Aunt and she makes the best sauerkraut, and I've been making mine the same way ever since I got her recipe. When yours is done let me know, and I'll be right over. I love this stuff!
Brown bacon & onions
Drain sauerkraut cover with water pour sugar in there simmer (sugar to taste)
A little Flour to bacon grease and onion
Polish sausage – boil only
Then put on low in a crock pot all day.
Also, I found this video that you might like too. His recipe is similar.
WAH LAH! NUMMMMMMMMMERS!
So now all you have to do is sign our linky to lead us and/or our guests to you to swap a recipe. Check them all out, and we'll check yours. Ooh that's totally one my dad would have loved :)
oh i LOVE the new look and i grabbed your button! did you do this yourself? did you make your own codes? this is soooooooo YOU!
hope you're well. looking forward to lunch .... SOON.
sounds delicious - much better than any jarred sauerkraut with sausage.
I love your new website look. I think the "Designed By" area should go below your own button though.
I'm super late today ;)
Lovely recipe. Hubs would love it! Oh and your site looks a lot cleaner. It even loads a bit faster than it did. I changed mine too!
No you were in the right place! I might be in the wrong one!
I'm working on the buttons (creating a special page) where i have them all together and the movie is under the tab "the farm"... if you are talking about that movie that is...
So you know I don't cook...The microwave is my friend..but I had to stop in and tell you the new look is perfect!
Oh that reminds me of my grandmother :). She use to always make this for us!
Better late than never? I linked it up!
Thanks for hosting a food hop again this week!
My mom used to make something similar growing up and I completely forgot about it until I read your recipe. I need to make this for my family. Thanks for the reminder!
This sounds like the kind of sauerkraut that my ex-MIL used to make. She is half-Polish and half-Lithuanian and it was absolutely delicious. She is a really good cook, that is the ONLY thing I miss about my first marriage... HaHa!
Bill doesn't like sauerkraut so I don't get it very often, so I really don't think I'll be making this, but the recipe is terrific.
