I received three (3) Safety Recall Notices from Chrysler Group. I have a 2008 Grand Caravan, Dodge that we recently bought. The problem was The Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning drain tube, and grommet may leak water onto the passenger compartment carpet and/or the Occupant Restraint Control module. This can lead to the illumination of the airbag warning light, and the potential for an inadvertent airbag deployment without warning.
A few weeks ago I received two other recalls, one was for the front wheel bearings may develop a growling or grinding noise. The bearing noise may increase or decrease during turning maneuvers. The other one was the right and/or left power sliding door wiring harnesses on the vehicle may chafe on the sliding door hinge when operating the sliding door. This could cause the sliding door latch to overheat and cause a fire inside the sliding door. These two were taken care of when I took it back to CarMax on our warranty because the sliding door had gremlins in it, and only would close when it wanted too. My husband and I both decided it was just the start of problems regarding the recalls. CarMax was very nice, and gave me a loaner car, and took my car to Chrysler for me, and they fixed the two recalls. We've been dealing with CarMax for a long time, and never have had any problems.

Middle, but closer to the left |
Now I took my car to the Chrysler closer to my home, and they fixed that last one in about a half hour/45 minutes. I came straight home because I wasn't feeling to well. The very next day my husband came home from work, and he found this gash on the back of my car that went all the way across at least 80% of the rear bumper. It sort of looked like a key scratch, but not. My very first scar on my poor baby! My beautiful car is scarred!

Now, there is also red paint in the middle with this scrapping. Gee, I wonder how that got there? We thought it could be a tool box (the stand-up ones with wheels), but they're tool boxes are black. Well, they're supposed to call me back because I took it back to Chrysler, and they took pictures and the manager said he'd talk to his mechanics and get back to me the next day.
He did not call me the next day. So, stay tuned for the next saga of MY NIGHTMARE AT THE RECALL NOTICE!

Both our Toyota and our VW have been subject to a couple recalls - feckin' awesome.
Wow you've had no luck! I guess there's no way to prove they did it but that's awful that he didn't call you back! That annoys me so bad when someone says they're going to do something and then they don't! :-(
Oh wow! Sorry this has happened to you :)
Thanks for making me spotlight blogger ;)
Ayya! That is one big headache. I really hate when I have to waste time to do things that are just because..someone else caused it!
Argh! I'm pretty sure they're all crooks!
Ugh! I wish you lived closer. We own an auto body and would take good care of you!
Just for the records we're not all crooks, you just need to find a good one and stick with them :)
Dislike!
Dolly is sick and is laying down. Thank you for your comments, but not sure if she'll be back tonight. Sorry! Signed the Hubby
Ugh, I hate recall notices.
