FLIP FLOP PROUDLY PRESENTS "2010 Califonia Moscato" Review

2010 California Moscato
So whether you're at home or a wedding the "California Moscato" should be what's in your glass.  The other day I heard from my new friend at FlipFlop wines & he told me they have a new wine.  Now, first of all let me tell you I'm not a big lover of white wine.  Anyway to continue he told me, "I'm dropping you a quick note to see if you might have any interest in reviewing the flipflop Moscato".  So, okay I'm game!  Anything at least once.  (Adventurous soul aren't I?)  So, he sent me a bottle, and when it finally came (I had to sign for it, so it took a couple of tries - hehe), and I'm pulling the bottle out of the box, and low & behold "A WHITE WINE"!  Oh boy,  not going to like this!  How am I going to do a honest review. I was too curious so I unscrewed the cap, and poured myself a swig.  What's this?  What's this?  Swishing it around in my mouth, and feeling a warmth, and pleasant taste, but what is it?  Hmmm Another sip!  I felt the warmth flowing through my chest as a shot of whiskey would.  mmmmmm That's a good feeling, but what is that taste?  Is it strawberries?  Is it grapes?  Blueberry or is it all rolled into one!!!
My Mama
In fact, I love this wine so much it inspired me to make
some Spaghetti that night just to have an excuse to have some more of this delicious wine.  Just a little sweet added with a little warmth, and a whole lotta curiosity!  You really need to try this wine, and the biggest surprise it it's only SEVEN BUCKS!  Mama Mia!  Thatsa one nice-a price!!!

Now my friend Stephen tells me that this 2010 California Moscato Wine is one of the top medal-winning wines across 15 major wine competitions.  At $7 suggested retail price, flipflop Moscato holds its own in blind taste competitions against wines ranging up to $50.   Why does this not surprise me?  Flipflop Moscato earned Double Gold at the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the largest and most influential internation wine competitions in America.  Wine Enthusiast Magazine gave flipflop Moscato a “Best Buy” in the June issue of the magazine. That is so cool!

flipflop wines collection offers seven different flavors - Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, PInot Noir (which I cook with), Riesling, and my new favorite Moscato, and as they say, "to each, their own"!

Just one more thing!  flipflop wines continues partnership with Soles4Souls
and their concept is a simple concept: to procure shoes and get them to those in need.
*Up to 100,000 pairs in the first year.   Keep up the flippin good work!!

Here's to you flipflop & David Georges for a job well done!
Nummers!  Oops You Caught Me!

Disclaimer: flipflop wines sent me a bottle of Moscato strictly for the purpose of this review.  The opinions I have given are mine, and may differ from others, and it was not influenced in any manner by monetary means and no monies were exchanged.

Well, I think you've really talk me into this one, and my curiosity is at its peak! You speak very pictorially, and besides the Italian music is playing, the lovely lady with the accordion, that sweet bottle of wine starring at me, and calling to me all I need is just a little push to put my shoes on, and head out to the store & at that price I'll slip on my "flip flops" and go buy me some wine that is irresistible as you put it! Great Post here my friend. You totally have me convinced.

I'm not a huge fan of white wine either - I do cook with it A LOT, as you know because of our recipe meme, but I do like Moscato. I was introduced to it by my friend Lynsey who runs a blog called Moscato Mom. I prefer it chilled, however and with a lighter meal than spaghetti... but that is just me - I'm a snob. TeeHee
