Not that I know what to do about it because I don't. You can only hound someone so much. You can stop following the bloggers who ran the give-away, but is it their fault? NO! It's the company's fault of course unless the blogger did something wrong like forgot to turn your name in. BUT LET ME REITTERATE ONE THING! THEY SAY IT TAKES UP TO FOUR TO SIX WEEKS & THIS IS TRUE! If we get it sooner hooray! So we must not get excited and not look at the date, which I was just put in my place and I feel bad, and to that person I apologize it's only been 16 days SOOOOOO with that being said I got over excited. My sincerest apologies!
BUT "What's on my mind?" Well, I was just wondering how many people out there in blogland enter give-aways and don't get their prizes. Spend their precious time every day tweeting them & sharing them not to mention the hour it took you to enter them, and never get your prize? I will start first. Yes, I am one of those people. As of right now I'm waiting on four prizes one as far back as June 7th. Although there was one a year ago where I won a wig that I never got. Isn't that special? No matter how hard you try... POOF!... YOU ARE NOT ALONE MY FRIEND. Anyone else want to blow off steam feel free to leave a comment. I don't care if you don't even leave your real name.

Thank you for I am not alone. Now I'm not speaking ill against anyone or any company. There are many great companies out there that get it to us in ample time and some times super quick and anyone who comments I'll try to help. So I think I explained myself a little better. I'm only trying to help those out there and believe me I'm in the same position hounding a few companies who are probably trying to get ready for the holidays so ladies there's another item of hurry up and wait! LOL Love you all, only trying to help you and blow off a little steam myself. So join me in my steam party! I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMIORE! maybe

I bet it has to be so frustrating. Because there is something special about winning and just the excitment regardless how big or small the prize was. I've bene entering giveaways a lot lately too and have won a few yet I too am waiting on the one item I have been so super excited to get. It's been a month yet so I'm not getting too frustrated yet cause I understand the person has to make it. But if it carries on it will upset me just cause, you know? Is it that they are just totally ignoring your emails about the item or just giving you the run around that they don't have it yet to send? I'm just curious cause people do need to know about these things. You are right....the time and effort to enter and support their blogs and get nothing
I agree fully...I am also waiting on prizes from the beginning of July. I have also emailed and emailed the blog owners, but you are right, what to do? I mean, wheat can you do? If it isn't the bloggers fault then we are kind of stuck. I will say the few smaller item I have one that have come straight from the blogger themselves did arrive quickly. With that said, the more popular I am waiting on is a Diamond Candle I won. I was so thrilled when I won it, and yet nothing in my mail. So yes, I fully understand, and am just as frustrated.
I don't often enter Giveaways -- it has to be something I actually need, or really, really want (iPad giveaway anyone? haha). And I normally only enter the Giveaways of a blog I really want to support also. So it is completely and utterly frustrating that there are 2 Giveaway prizes I won - and never received. I have basically just given up on ever receiving them; I don't even bother the blogger any more. What's the point? I'm out some time, but not any money spent.
I would like to add that if you enter and win my current giveaway -- I most definitely will send you the book prize! LOL
Well, you know that I had a little problem with that one company...seemed to take them forever! However, in due time, I received it.
I do however, get the point. If you won something and are excited to receive it, you would like to have it in due time.
Steam off away my friend!
I've never entered one but I can certainly understand your frustration. Greaaaat movie, great clip!!!
Thank you to all, but when I first posted this I got an e-mail, and I did add something to my post and that is although we are excited about the FREEBIE we just won let's count to 10 and then check out the date we won and then count 4 to 6 wks and if it's been longer than that then let me know & I'll bitch with ya! hahahahahahahahaha You gals know what I mean. 4 to 6 wks & then we have a legitimate beef & yes my friend Michelle your patience was appreciated & let me add that I ordered the same thing for my party and I am about to do a review on it so if you want to send me a picture of you in it I'll make you a "STAR"! Thanks for venting with me everyone! HUGS!
I've had the opposite problem on my blog...I have had winners that wouldn't respond to me! I sent one person 5 emails, plus comments on their blog, letting them know they won and that I needed an address to send the prize to. 2 years later, and I still haven't heard back!
Been there done that. I do both enter giveaways and host giveaways. I know what it is like on both ends... one thing that pisses me off is when a blogger IGNORES the emails... yup just ignores them, they only respond once i let them know I to run a blog, and all it takes is 2 seconds to reply with... got your email and I will be checking into this for you. Like you said it isnt the bloggers fault that a win doesn't come BUT it is the bloggers fault when they too just ignore the emails. When a blogger responds it makes the loss a bit easier... and when I don't receive a win, (people can say it is a freebie all they want, but I bust my ass to enter giveaways and win, my time is worth something, so no it isnt a freebie...) I will go to the company directly, if I don't hear nothing back... I will blog them, yup i sure will WHY because a blogger takes the time to promote them, sweepers, take the time to promote them, then nothing. I think not I will call all the companies out that back out of their agreement. AND I thank all the bloggers who do make every attempt to find out what is going on with the prize! Okay my rant is over thanks for letting me vent, have a wonderful night.
I think all of us contest and giveaway entering folks have been in that situation once or twice--I will admit it HAS happened to me probably a half dozen to 8 times in the past, but I usually give it a solid month before I contact the blog owner to look into things for me.
Most of the time after that initial contact, the prize arrives. I can only think of maybe 2 to 3 times where something NEVER came and after that, I just let it go.
I have won things on blogs that I never received. I also won a twitter party gift of an Ipod in MARCH that I never received. Upsetting that I follow the rules (tweeted when I said I did, liking pages, etc) and then get stiffed.I never got the MOH band that I won months ago, and don't know if others had gotten theirs from other blogs. I stopped entering because I won one, and then, nothing. Boo.
I can honestly say that i know how you feel. I spend ALOT of time on my computer entereing giveaways.. I am far from rich, being on ssd and trying to raise my kids is tough. I have severe back issues amongst other things beyong my control. I do try to win my kids things because it's my way of giving to them. I only wish that the sponsors would fullfill the prizes they say they will send. I have been waiting on a few things. One as far back as almost 3 months. I email the blogger and she says that she keeps emailing them but i dont hear nothing more. Oh well, i cant change it and i will still enter.. I do appreciate anything that i get.. The excitement of getting that winning email is beyond belief sometimes.. LOL.. Good luck all, and i hope you all get what you have won. Thanks for letting me get my say in.. :)
Oh and another thing that really angrys me is when i know that i replied to a email and then when i ask about where my prize might be, i get i never recieved an email from you so i had to choose another winner.. WELL I KNOW I EMAILED BECAUSE I HAVE A COPY IN MY SENT MAIL.. but it's all good.. For the most part everyone has been good and honest to me.
This one is worth a chuckle. After going through the site I won at, I contacted a sponsor and let me know how disappointed I was they didn't follow through. THEY STATED THEY SENT IT TO THE BLOG I HAD ENTERED ON, so not true. I forwarded to the blog and she was mad as ..... The company after weeks of back and forth finally admitted they had not sent the prize and sent a $2 stuffed toy in place of a $50 super toy prize.
I must say the blog this occurred on was wonderful about trying to see the prize fulfilled.
Thanks to all the wonderful companies who do follow through. I love seeing new products reviewed and have come across several places I love and continue to order from by entering giveaways.
I feel your pain! I'm still waiting on Smiley Cookies that I won 2 yrs + ago. I guess I'll just write it off now because I'm sure they are good and stale by now!!!!
It has happened a few times. I don't do too many giveaways, they are so time consuming and all chance but I do like reviews and trust my bloggy buddies when they review :)
OMG, I thought I was the only one. I'm waiting on a bracelet that I won in March, the blogger said she would check on it, but has never replied. A gift card and water bottle that I won in May, the blogger said she would check, but has never responded. A tee shirt I won in June, etc. The list is pretty long. I don't mind waiting 6 to 8 weeks, heck I wouldn't even mind 10 to 12 weeks, but it is frustrating when you don't receive it at all. These prizes are definitely NOT freebies. I spend a lot of time and effort making comments, pinning, posting, sharing, following and liking. I think I actually get about 90% of the prizes that I've won. I'm at the point where I just hope for the best and try not to be disappointed when the prize never comes.
I've had that happen a couple of times and so has my daughter. I even corresponded with one blogger on FB, and still never got the prize.
One prize I won was a book by Jennifer Paganelli so I wrote her on FB and told her. It wasn't her giveaway, but the book was to be shipped from her company.
She apologized and sent me a signed copy wrapped in some of her pretty fabric! So I got a better prize in the end.
I think if a company doesn't follow through, then the host blogger should give a prize to compensate even if it's just a little something.
I have won and no prizes. I just let it go if I ask a few times and there are no answers.
It sucks
Now with me as the blogger doing the giveaway. I had a few where I had to really be tight on the sponsors to get on the ball, especially that it was over two months or so!
Turned out some were mailed slow and turned out some just missed the email.
But they all eventually got on the ball.
Sponsors must realize they hitch us in a bad spot if we do not deliver.
And bloggers must understand it's a chain of events and sometimes life happens.
Still sucks.
