I was raised in Chicago, IL. (Mayor Daly's neighborhood), a place called, "Bridgeport", which was predominantly Italian at the time. This little lady smack in the middle was my grandmother with her fur stole on & black hat. She was a whole lotta woman & a whole lotta fun! She was walking in the St. Joseph's Day parade, which my Grandfather was also President of the club at the time. Behind her is "All Saints Church", which was torn down because of I55. What a shame it was gorgeous. (Second picture).
"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So here on Fridays we're taking it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’m asking a simple question for you to answer & nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is if you could go back in a period in your life just to relive one day when would it be?
I have to say it would be when I was about 9 or 10. We use to go to my Gram's every Sunday for dinner, and every aunt, uncle and cousins (mom's family) was there. The love poured, and so did the fun. Yes, that would be one of the times I'd like to relive.
I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be following you back!

The day i got married!!! Best day ever!! I loved being my husband's bride! He's the best man alive!
Happy Friday and here's my Aloha!
The happiest years of my life were when my boys were toddlers. How I wish I could revisit that time of my life.

I would go back to when my Grandmother was still alive. She was a farmer's wife who loved to cook and quilt, I'm just sorry I never learned any of those skills from her.
The 1st Sunday in January...I'd go visit my cousin instead of calling her.
Thats a really hard question. Probably around the time my husband and I started dating. My grandpa was still alive too...
The ladies with the handbags crack me up. Maybe going back to the 70's when for me, life was so simple. I didn't know you were from Bridgeport :)
Have a great Friday!

Great flashback photos! Wow, that's a good question. I would have to say my teenage years. There's lots I would do differently. Happy Aloha Friday!
I would also love to relive the day I was married. It was almost 9 years ago and I hardly remember anything from the day since there was so much stress building up to that day.
What a great picture!
I would relive my wedding day too.
Great picture!
I would probably go back to my wedding day too! It was a great day!
Have a great weekend!
Great pictures and great idea. Hey I was born in Chicago too, but left when I was a kid. I just remember Lincoln Park Zoo and the movies house, that's it. Oh well...small world huh?

That's too funny because both my mum and dad were born and raised in Chicago!!
I guess I would go back to one of the Halloweens when I was younger-We made out like bandits, let me tell you :D
Happy Friday!
Wow, that's a super tough one! There isn't much I'd like to repeat. I think I'd go back to the day before my dad died and prevent that from happening by changing the course of events.
That is sad about that beautiful church being torn down for a highway! And I love the pic of your grandmother!
I'd love to go back to when my Swedish Great Grandmother was still alive - I have so many questions I'd love to ask her! :)
Aloha Friday: Father's Day
I love the old photos. We have a part of RI that is similar. Known as Federal Hill or by those that live here "The Hill". Many of mob stories came from that area. The church is beautiful..what a sin to have been torn down. It is a larger and grander scale of the church I got married in but had to do a double take when I saw the picture. You have so many great postings that bring back memories of "those good old days"

I love the photos! That church definitely look beautiful!
What is I55?
And that question is an interesting one. I think I'd like to go back to my wedding day so that I can ensure we get a wedding dance :)
Your grandma looked like she was full of fun! & that was a gorgeous church!
That would be so hard to pick only one period in time...and even harder to pick only one day...
Blessings & Aloha!
It would either be my wedding day or the birth of any of my girls.
HaHa I would relive my wedding day too..I would of ran as fast as I could of (we are divorced now)lol...
My wedding Day.

I love those old photos... and that church is gorgeous.
I think the time I'd like to go back to is when my kids were in middle school and Bill and I had been married for about 4 years. We were all settled into our house and the kids are used to the new situation and I didn't have to deal with the "ex" very much anymore. But now is pretty good, except for missing my grown-up boys.
Have a great weekend.
wow, i am not sure what day i would want to relive...
so many good ones!
love the photos!
I LOVE looking at old pics!
THANKS!!!!
