Aloha Flashback Friendship Friday totally uncorked..

"3" Generations 1995 I think
Three Generations - approximately 1993

Question Of The Week
What are you most grateful in your life for at this moment?
What small things do you usually take for granted
But wish to celebrate now?

Laurie stated about me:   Ever wonder if you can change reality as a result of your dreams?
Don’t miss this poignant moment from Dolly’s past!
So, I'm not going to let my friend down because no truer words were ever spoken.  I did change reality many years ago.  My reality was a nightmare and I hid that nightmare from my children as best as I could, but finally I stood up, and said today is the first day of the rest of my life, and my kids aren't going through this anymore, and I changed reality, and opened a dream and made it come true.   We walked away from a living hell and we made it through the rain and made the sun shine through. We were tight, and we were happy!  So what am I grateful for in.my life at this moment?  My children that helped me make a real dream come true, and put a end to a nightmare & by God we made it!

Question this week:   So are you cooking dinner this Thanksgiving and if not where are you going?  Also, what is your favorite part of the meal (which food)?

*I'm cooking like I do every year because my daughter loves my stuffing;  my favorite thing for Thanksgiving dinner is the fried parsnips, but no one likes them, but me.  It use to be my MIL and I but she eats with the angels now, and of course pumpkin pie!  mmmmm

Also, check to see if you're following me if not and you do let me know I return every follow.  Any questions let me know.  Have a great weekend my friends.

Hee hee first here too.

Mark and I actually made a turkey and ate it today! However, we will have another. Both of us will get the meal together.

We had hoped to go to Vegas to visit one of my brothers but we can't. So, we are having dinner at our place just he and I. Although, he wants to invite a couple of strangers and their baby so that will probably happen.

COme by. :)

We have Thanksgiving at my sister's house and everyone brings a dish or two. I will probably make macaroni and cheese. Then, later that afternoon, we go to dinner at my brother-in-law's house for the other side of the family. For that, my husband makes homemade chicken and dumplings. My favorite dish is the homemade dressing that my sister makes (our grandma's old recipe).

I'm cooking a ginormous feast like I do every year for Thanksgiving - even though this year it will just be the 4 of us. :) Favorites are toss-ups between the champagne turkey, my mom's stuffing I recreate every year, and pumpkin pie for dessert! :) Oh, and candied yams and mashed potatoes... :)

Have a great weekend, Marie! :)

I think we are going to visit the inlaws. FIL is diagnosed with cancer. So not sure what to expect.

I do love sampling a good stuffing.

Have a fun weekend Dolly.

I'm grateful for every day and everything. As far as Thanksgiving goes, I'll probably make the dinner.

Have a great weekend!

Not cooking dinner, but unsure if we are invited to the relatives house that my parents are going to. Assuming we are, I will be baking some items to bring along.
