Eve's Version
Okay, I just got this in the e-mail and I simply loved it, and I want to share it with you all. It's great, and I know you'll love it too. LOL
EVE'S SIDE OF THE STORY:
After 3 weeks in the Garden of Eden, God came to visit Eve.
'So, how is everything going?' inquired God. 'It is all so beautiful, God,' she replied. 'The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking, the smells, the sights, everything is wonderful, but I have just one problem. It's these breasts you have given me. The middle one pushes the other two out and I am constantly knocking them with my arms, catching them on branches and snagging them on bushes. They're a real pain.' And Eve went on to tell God that since many other parts of her body came in pairs, such as her limbs, eyes, ears, etc She felt that having only two breasts might leave her body more 'symmetrically balanced'. 'That's a fair point,' replied God, 'But it was my first shot at this, you know. I gave the animals six breasts, so I figured that you needed only half of those, but I see that you are right. I will fix it up right away.' And God reached down, removed the middle breast and tossed it into the bushes.
Three weeks passed and God once again visited Eve in the Garden of Eden. ' Well, Eve, how is my favorite creation?' 'Just fantastic,' she replied, 'But for one oversight. You see, all the animals are paired off. The ewe has a ram and the cow has her bull. All the animals have a mate except me. I feel so alone.' God thought for a moment and said, 'You know, Eve, you are right. How could I have overlooked this? You do need a mate and I will immediately create a man from a part of you. Let's see....where did I put that useless boob?'
Now doesn't THAT make more sense than all that crap about the rib? LOL

Happy Friday All!
Today was Nutrition Clinic Friday. I have lost another 2 1/2lbs. Woo Hoo. Oh sure, it may not sound like much to you, but by losing it slowly this crap will stay off is what I'm told. Now, I haven't been losing a whole lot of weight, but I've been losing inches I'm told. Unfortunately, I didn't measure myself when I started, but I should have. Oh well, I'm finally able to exercise a little and I've been lifting and exercising with 3lb. weights I have at home, and also water aerobics at the Health & Wellness Center. I'm even able to do those exercises in the water WITH a bad back. So, there's no excuse now not to exercise. I'm really trying to eat less, and watch what I eat. My husband doesn't make it easy for me at all. He eats what I make of course, but I can't see depriving him. He doesn't need to lose weight, but he COULD OFFER! LOL Nah, I have to do this all on my own. So, if I come up with anything new I'll let you know. Have a great day and an even better weekend.

Update on me!
Hi Everybody: Happy Tuesday to ya! Well, as you can see I've been busy lately, but now I have to concentrate on the upcoming holidays too. With the economy the way it is my transcribing job has gone next to nothing, and so I've been looking for ways to make money and get Christmas gifts. I've been learning how to do this blog thing and enter contests. My daughter Tricia (nightowlmama) has been teaching me, and it's a slow process. It took me all morning just to enter one contest today. Sheesh! Anyway, I'm still doing therapy for my back and I have an appointment today at 1:00 p.m. The last time I was at therapy it was in the pool, so while I was downstairs changing the doctor scale was just sitting there doing nothing, but calling my name so I went over and peeked. Although my appointment is this Friday to the Nutrition Clinic I just couldn't wait because it's been almost a month. I've been stuck in the 260's zone VERY DEPRESSING, but I stepped on that scale and finally, FINALLY, I made it in the 250's zone what I have been waiting for. I'm down to 257. Woo Hoo downhill from here girls. Wish me luck! Have a good day!
Happy Birthday to my Brianna!
Happy Birthday Bria, the big 9! My you're getting so big and prettier everyday. This year Brianna wanted her birthday to be at a bowling alley. I'm sure fun was had by all. We had pizza and soda and a beautiful birthday cake. Daddy and Mommy was standing by to supervise everything even the games afterward in the game room. Yes, another game room with kids running around for those tickets to get those trinkets that break in the car even before they get home. What a scam! I still think we should take the kids to the show. The show by me has birthday parties with a special room, and even a couple of games, and afterward the kids go to see a cool movie. Oh well, what do I know. I'm only the NaNee. LOL Brianna is such a bright little girl doing pom-poms, and all kinds of outside activities from school. She was doing hip-hop classes last year not sure if she still is, but what she does she gives her all. Love you big girl! (picture: Mommy/Tricia, Birthday Girl/Brianna, and her cousin my son Tony's little girl Nicole who just had a birthday in September 10th who is six).

Go Digital! Get Digital Health Records With "I Am Enabled"
At I am enabled they ask these very important questions:
- How have digital health records changed—or could change—how you manage your family’s (or even extended family’s) health? First of all there's no more guessing games. No more I think I had this shot, or maybe I had this test a year ago, or maybe two. No more paying for a doctor visit, co-pay etc., taking time out of your day or work to go see the doctor to find out you needed to stop taking that medicine or just to give you peace of mind on a question. I love being able to: Communicate with my doctor, access my test results, request prescription renewals, view my recent clinic visits, & what happened & even look at a diagnosis & my recent health evaluation, and it even has tips to keep me that way. Yes, my clinic came up with this a few years ago, and I love it. So, basically what is My Chart you say?
- How would you use a Flip Cam to tell your story? I would take pictures of all wonderful nurses at the computer at my clinic & my doctors & their smiling faces. Also, I would take pictures of this secure smiling face reading my chart on-line knowing I have all the answers at my finger tips. Knowing that every doctor I go too within the Dreyer network has access to all my records at their finger tips. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that access could go everywhere to any doctor wherever I go? So, they would have that knowledge too? To be able to know illnesses I have or did have or shot records or most importantly allergies. It also now has :
- Ask Customer Service - Send a question or comment about using MyChart to the Help Desk. This feature allows you to contact the clinic regarding non-medical concerns.
- Lab result Graphing - When you are viewing test results, you will now see a button to view historical results. This will allow you to see past test result values in a chart, or if you prefer, a graph.
- Pediatric Growth Charts - Parents with proxy access to view their child's chart will now be able to view growth charts. So, come on who can ask for more? I'm very satisfied. Wouldn't you be?
- SO.... How would I use the Flip Cam to tell my story? I'd take a pictures of smiling faces from NaNee to daughters and sons, and beautiful granddaughters and handsome adorable grandsons! Then I would take pictures of all my friends smiling faces that I tell about my peace of mind and my whole family! And that's ONE BIG FAMILY & ONE BIG CONNECTED SMILE! Then I'd tape an editorial for my daughter & tell her of her family on both sides & of any illnesses or something that even might be hereditary that I know about. This way she'll remember this & pass the word to her siblings & when she is my age sure do the same for her daughter. It may be digital, but there's nothing like watching Mom tell you stories of the family, and this one will live on.
- My daughter told me about I Am Enabled and she is NightOwlMama (also a blogger) and tells about all my beautiful grandbabies and other helpful things for mothers, and I'm glad she told me about this so I can tell all of you about our family's "Connected smiles", and if I ever get a Flip Cam I can show you!
- Now, let me ask you an important question. Does your family have a "Connected smile"?

Want to lose weight as you chow down? Your wish is granted! (I promise, this is no fairy tale.) Your supermarket is filled with foods that studies show have lipid-melting powers to help melt fat and keep you slim. Stock up on these fat-fighting super bites, and you'll be trimmer even as you indulge. Read on to discover the eight foods that deserve a permanent spot in your fridge—and in your diet!
Almonds These yummy nuts are high in alpha-linolenic acid, which can accelerate your metabolism of fats. In fact, dieters who ate 3 ounces of almonds daily slashed their weight and body-mass index by 18 percent, while those who skipped the nuts reduced both numbers less— just 11 percent—a study in the International Journal of Obesity revealed. Chomp almonds à la carte (limit yourself to 12 per serving to keep calories in check). I get a pack at Starbucks and nibble throughout my day. Or sprinkle them into a recipe such as Black Bean–Almond Pesto Chicken. Go nuts!
Berries I tell my daughter, "These are nature's candy!" Turns out they're also your body's best friends. Strawberries, raspberries and other vitamin C–spiked fruit can supercharge your workout, helping you burn up to 30 percent more fat, research from Arizona State University at Mesa has found. If they're not in season, buy the little gems frozen in a bulk-sized bag so you'll always have them on hand to whip up a Berry Bliss Smoothie or Strawberry-Sunflower Pops, regardless of whether berries are in season.
Cinnamon Adding 1/4 teaspoon to your plate may prevent an insulin spike—an uptick that tells your body to store fat. Sprinkle it on your morning cereal or coffee or on your yogurt in the A.M., or savor it in Apple-Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal.
Mustard It's heaven on a soft pretzel, but mustard may also be a weight loss wonder. Turmeric, the spice that gives mustard its color, may slow the growth of fat tissues, a study in the journal Endocrinology finds. Use it on sandwiches instead of mayo, or sprinkle turmeric on cauliflower pre-roasting to give it a kick. Try it on tuna salad—I promise it adds zest.
Oranges This citrus fruit, which contains fat-blasting compounds known as flavones, deserves to be your main squeeze. Women who ate the most flavones had a much lower increase in body fat over a 14-year period, a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition notes. Eat oranges sliced or swig fresh OJ (including pulp!) to get the best benefit from the fruit.
Soybeans Reason to toss a half cup on your salad? Soybeans are rich in choline, a compound that blocks the absorption of fat and breaks down fatty deposits. Oh, and they're addictively delish! But if breast cancer runs in your family, experts suggest you should talk to your doc before adding soy to your diet.
Sweet potatoes The colorful spuds' high-fiber content means they keep your insulin steadier than their white sisters, which means less fat packed on your hips, research finds. Top a small baked tater with lowfat cottage cheese for a tempting side dish, or whip up Miso Soup With Sweet Potato Dumplings.
Swiss cheese Calcium-rich foods reduce fat-producing enzymes and increase fat breakdown, and Swiss has more calcium than many of its cheesy peers. Choose the reduced-fat variety, such as Sargento. Slip it into your sandwich, put it on top of high-fiber crackers or use it for a healthier grilled cheese. Yum!

Happy Birthday to my Tatyanna!
We had a small birthday party at Chuck E Cheese yesterday for my eleven year old granddaughter Tatyanna Marie. She's getting so big and prettier every day, and smart too. Well, kids barely got their pizza down & they were off to play all the games. Now as far as I'm concerned the food was awful. I don't know it just tasted dirty to me. I had a salad folks so don't even bother going to that "ALL YOU CAN EAT"? AUGH!!! And I took a bite of the pizza and that was like putting dough and bland sauce in my mouth & not much sauce I might add. So, now we see were they make their money at GAMES because they sure don't spend it on their food or their so called prizes. Cheap little trinkets that make kids happy I suppose, but then sad as it breaks in the car on the way home. No, here is my opinion for that place - TAKE THE KIDS TO A MOVIE! Any place then Chuck-E-Cheese. I added some smiles that made the whole thing worth while! (Little one is Roslyn, Tatyanna on the left, and Jaelyn on the right).

Alive, Aloud and Free
©2009 David Moody
My lady likes the simple things
Like exchanging body heat
When every weekend morning brings
A chance to snuggle…sweet
But let me play those supple strings
As my heart provides the beat
The universal language of
Love spoken here
Love alive,
Aloud,
And free
