The final destination - Kings Dominion!

Drop Zone
Start of the Drop Zone!
o, here we are our last stop of our vacation, Kings Dominion.  The above is their Eiffel Tower we went up in, and here is a few pics we took of the grounds from on top of that tower.  Well, actually hubby took the pictures.  I stayed very close to the wall, and the elevator while I was on my scooter.  Little too scary for me!  Hubby went on that Tower Drop, and me
I'll stick to my Ferris Wheel. lol

Then of course we'd be tired from the day's excitement, and got to go back to the hotel with this lovely pool waiting for us.  Totally cool!

I think he was flirting with me! ~hehe~ While waiting for Hubby to get off a ride I rode around taking in the sites.  Here's cutie for ya!  Isn't he special!  Then there was a squirrely little friend that decided to show up, and say hello too!  We just happen to catch this one!

So, back to the rides - I'm the official cameraman, and there he goes again.  Up, up, and away!  WOO HOO!  WHOOSH!  And back down to earth.  Just look at that shit eatin' grin!  ROFL  He's just a big boy who never grew up, and I wouldn't have him any other way!
Then we have one more ride for meeeeeeeeeeeee!  Little difficult to get into, but I made it, and laughed my head off!  Kids probably thought I was nuts!  Now granted there was a few more rides I went on I couldn't get pictures of like the White Water Rapids.  We saved that one for the day it was 108 degrees.  Virginia broke a record with that.

Now here's a video that my husband didn't even go on this ride, but I want you to see.  It was amazing!  I mean DANG!  Who dreams up this stuff, and invents this!??  Then again there's always station identification!  Now for our commercial.

Our David the guitar for a brain searches out, and what does he find?  yes, the biggest dam head (machine-head) of a guitar there is!  Sheesh!  Now back to our show!

Guess she wants to get on too!

We had gone back to our room, and Dave went outside for a smoke, and was having a couple of cold ones.  Now, we stayed at Best Western, which was right on the property of Kings Dominion, and you can see many of the rides moving etc., and all the screams.  Totally cool!  All of a sudden he comes rushing in, and says loudly, "It's mocking me".  "It keeps mocking me".  Yes, we must go back."  HUH?  You're kidding, right?  It's an hour before closing, and who's mocking you?  I said.  It was a ride called the, "Intimidator"!  A ride made after Dale Earnhardt.  So, I waited, and I waited.  Seems that Mr. Moody wanted to be in the front roll - first seat.  "Attention, Kings Dominion shall be closing in 30 minutes".  I looked around in the little store, and found a cool mouse pad for Dave similar to the car picture here.  Very cool, and then... "Attention, Kings Dominion is now closed", but where's Dave?

"NO MOCK ME!  I GOT YOU!"

DAVE?  DAVID?

EEEEEEEEEEEE - HAAAAAAAA
Well folks, that's all!  That's how our vacation went.  Hope you enjoyed our week's escapades!  I know we did!!!

ALOHA FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK, FRIDAY FOLLOW 40 & OVER, & FRIDAY FOLLOW, ALOHA!

A friend of mine started "Friday Photo Flashback" because of having so many pictures from her PRE-digital camera days. She thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!  I personally think it's a great idea, and sounds like fun!  I totally love old pictures.  Hey I use to have a camera like that.

This is my family when I was little.  My Aunts & Uncles and Grandma (NaNee) on the right, and Grandpa all got together every Sunday for a big Italian dinner.  My grandmother was from Palermo, Sicily and was a most fantastic cook.  We always had spaghetti as other people have soup for an appetizer.  Then would come the three course meal, and you wonder why Italian people are chubby!  LOL  I truly miss those days when the whole family got together without fail.  We were tight, but since my grandparents died now we only see each other at weddings and funerals.  Very sad how families grow apart.

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!
Please join in the fun and get to know your fellow bloggers at Never Growing Old!!

I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be following you back!  Everyone needs more followers, and I love making new friends!

KINGS DOMINION BOUND - RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT FIRST! PART II

Me adorable??
We left Busch Gardens on Wednesday morning. Actually we had all day to do whatever we wanted because check in time in Richmond wasn't until 3:00 p.m. At first my husband wanted to surprise me with a trip to see the ocean because I always said before I die I would like to swim in the ocean. It would've been 2 hrs out of our way, so I reminded him about the oil spill & sharks coming in, so we saw a pamphlet on, "Ripley's Believe it or not", which is right on the way. We've already saw the one they have in Florida, and it was really cool. So, here we are. It was great fun, and we got to see a 4D movie, which was also great fun. Check it out!

Can you see our reflection? lol
Hubby & the world's tallest man!
Oh well, they say 2 heads are better than one!

And it's always nice to see where you been!  LOL

Dave's favorite!  An outfit made out of guitar picks!
Guitar pic outfit!
There are so many pictures that I'd like to show you, but that would take all day, so I'll just pick a few more here, so we can get on to Part III The final destination - Kings Dominion.

VACATIONLAND, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia! PART I

Cracker Barrel for breakfast
The vacationing couple! We started out, and if you've been following along you know that we had nothing, but storms heading out. The road trip was very comfortable ride in our new car, but let me back track just a little. Before we left Dave made reservations at Best Western because I'm a member there, and I wanted points for our free night (eventually) for first stay in Williamsburg, Virginia near the Busch Gardens. The first time he did it through some company that charged his credit card twice. We deleted it, tried it again & they did it again. We deleted it once again & this time he booked it through Best Western with a very nice gentleman. Dave confirmed it 3x before we left, but when we got there (after 8:00 p.m.) the hotel was booked & the manager said because the man did not take Dave's credit card number they gave away our room. Tired, ticked, and no where to go we left. I suggested across the street & the only good thing was they had a room & it was $30 cheaper. I called Best Western from there & asked if they had a room available for the next 2 days & they did & I booked it.

Be careful what you wish for!
That's a giant wave from a splash down - he got drenched!
Busch Gardens is a lovely place, but very hilly. It does take a toll on the ol' legs, which my husband will tell you. He had bad shoes on, but the next day we went to Target & got him some comfortable ones, and he was good to go. I had a scooter everyday because of my back. I've got Spinal Stenosis. I couldn't make that hike all day! I didn't go on many rides, but I did go on the merry-go-round, and the white water rapids on the hottest day of the summer. 108 degrees, Virginia broke a record that day! We stayed there for 2 1/2 days. They have it broke off into countries there, and Italy was like an opera house, but they were closed while we were there, so sad. France was very pretty, but Switzerland was my favorite because of their big huge clock.

As you can see by this film poor Dave got soaked, but it wasn't so bad considering it was the hottest day of the year.
Part II shall follow.  "On the way to Kings Dominion - Ripley's Believe or Not!"
