Whitney Houston is dead - R.I.P. (1963 - 2012)

Sorry, I just had to get this off my chest.  I loved Whitney Houston.  From day one when she was so young singing in church to going on the Johnny Carson show, a skinny little cute girl that was such a power-house in the vocal department. Shy, soft spoken, grew up to be the most talented female in the world.  She stole our hearts.  Made us happy and made us sad.  Entertained us to the fullest of her capabilities.  Movies such as the Body Guard and the Preacher's Wife we shall never forget.  While we were being entertained making us happy, making us laugh, making us cry.  Falling in love because of one of her songs or dancing our heads off and having the best time of our lives while she was being tormented in her own life.

The best thing she could have ever done was divorcing Bobby Brown.  Love makes you do many strange things you wouldn't normally do, and it had a hold on her something terrible.  This Diva could have had any man she wanted, and her logic is beyond my comprehension why she picked this lowlife  and as far as I'm concerned he had no talent.  In fact, I can't remember one time I ever saw him entertain on television, or advertise a concern much less ever hear him on the radio.  I have no clue why everyone said he was so great.  He was a nobody.  NO, I take that back he was Mr. Bobby/Whitney Houston.  I curse the day she met him.

Whitney you will be so missed, and a piece of my heart surely dropped when I heard the news.  You're free now and may the Lord take you in His arms and comfort you.  You're one of His angels now.  Just as you lifted your head up and sang for the Lord here on earth you shall sing for Him now.  Sing loud Whitney give it all you got so we can hear you too.  Love you girl!  Rest in peace!  May your Concert in heaven with everyone else be a blast for you for now you entertain with the greats for the Greatest!

This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful, talented woman Mrs. Dolly-My mom probably had the same reaction as you; she just kept saying, "No, this can't be!?"

It's such a sad, sad end to such an icon.

May she rest in peace.

Much as I loved her music, I'm glad she's dead. At least now she's at peace.

beautiful tribute it's a shame that she didn't realize that life was even more precious than her voice

I knew you would write a nice post about her because I knew you liked her.
She wasn't my cup of tea, I never cared for her or her voice, but to each her own.
You did a wonderful job on this post.
