How to get rid of Dark circles

Dark circles are caused because of various reasons.  Smoking, staying up late, stress, working at the computer for long periods of time, excessive crying, lack of nutrient diet, alcohol, iron deficiency, fatigue, liver problems and some allergies are major causes of these dark circles.

First of all, remove the cause of skin discoloration. Get lots of rest!  Didn't you ever hear, "I must get my beauty sleep?  It's true.  Treat your allergies, eat healthy and drink plenty water, and if you want a little help here's a few natural remedies that I've found.

Almond oil:

Regular use of almond oil work amazingly to fade dark circles. Apply almond oil gently on dark circles before going to bed. Do it daily until it fades off. It also improves the above layer of your skin.

Cucumber is a very effective home remedy for dark circles, and it helps relax the eyes. You can use cucumber in few ways, like you can massage your eyes with cucumber juice. Soak cucumber slice in cold water for few minutes and massage with that slices. OR place cucumber in the refrigerator then slice it, and place the slices on your eyes for 15 minutes.

Eating a potato and putting it on your skin are two different stories. Potato has the ability to transfer nutrients to your skin. Coolness of potato reduces the swelling and darkness. Place slices of chilled potato on your eyes for 10 to 15 minute to reduce darkness. You can also use grated potato.

Rose Water:

Rose water is always an important ingredient in almost every face pack. Soak cotton in rose water, and put that soaked cotton on your closed eyes and leave it for 15 minutes. Follow this remedy regularly.

Ice Cubes:

Wrap ice cubes in a cloth and put it over your eyes. It will give your eyes, a relaxing effect. Putting ice cubes on your eyes in the morning remove puffiness. Icing contracts your blood vessels and tightens your skin.

Tea bags:

Used tea bags act as a remedy to treat discoloration around eyes. Take used cool tea bags and put it on your eyes for 15 minutes. You can also put teabags in a refrigerator and they will be ready in the morning. Or you can also soak cotton in green tea and put it in closed eyes for 15 minutes.

Frozen spoon and frozen peas can help you to get rid of dark circles. What you do is just to put 2 spoons in the freezer for 30 minutes then, put them on your eyes until they become warm.

Turmeric eye pack:

Take 1 tsp tomato juice, 1 tsp lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and a pinch of gram flour. Mix all these ingredients and form a paste. apply this paste to dark circles and wash it after 10 minutes. Regularly apply this remedy until dark circles disappear.

Mint leaves are also considered as good cure to dark circles. Crush mint to form a paste, and then apply this paste below your eyes. Leave it for 20 minutes. you can also add lemon juice or cucumber juice to make it more effective.

It is an excellent ingredient to cure dark circles. Tomato has bleaching properties which helps in reducing discoloration. Take a tea spoon of tomato juice and mix it with half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this liquid to dark area and let it sit for 15 minutes. If lemon juice causes burning, skip it next time.

I am going to have to start trying these. Ever since I had started hemorrhaging then needing my hysterectomy, my eyes have a constant dark circle. I would love to get rid of this, but so many things I try, I can't take the smell and they end up giving my migraines. Natural is always best, that's my motto.
