I just got this picture from my cousin.  These are my grandparents!  We don't have a date, but with all the other pictures I'm going to say it's probably the early 1940's, and in Chicago, Illinois.  (For Kayla - Gramma was 4'.6" & Grandpa was 6'.1" and Gramma was the best cook ever and brought Sicily back with her. mmmmm).

My question is:  What is your favorite memory of your mother?

My favorite memory is on Friday night my dad use to go out with the boys, and my mother and I would stay at home, and pig out on junk food.  Chips, Bridge Mix, Green leaves, and Almond Joy was her favorite and we'd watch old movies in her bed, and I even got to stay until I fell asleep.  My Mommy was cool.  (For a friend - Green leaves were spearmint in taste - kind of like sugar coated gummy bears or if you remember the candy Chuckles - just shaped like leaves).

What a sweet picture! And even though your grandma was a little lady, I bet she was not a pushover!!

And my favorite memory of my mom was when she would read to me and my sister at bedtime.

I have too many wonderful memories of my mom to pick just one. She was my girl scout leader and we did so many fun things. She loved riding rides at Kings Island and Cedar Point with us. She had a great sense of humor and was such a loving, giving person. She took us bowling and skating. She even gave me a credit card when I was a teen (back when you could leave your house and car unlocked) and let me go to the mall with my 2 best friends and pick out my own clothes. She was AWESOME. And I miss her everyday!

I LOVE that picture of your grandparents! And I think it's so cool that she brought Sicily back with her in her cooking. :)

My favorite memory of my mom is similar to yours - after I moved out, we'd have a girl's night once a month where I would pick up dinner and go over to my parents house (and sometimes in lieu of me picking up dinner, we'd make dinner together there), then my dad would make himself scarce while my mom and I would watch chick flicks. :)

I sometimes wish HATS were back in style. No I don't mean baseball hats or knit beanies. I just think they look good on your grandparents! One of my favorite memories is my mom would bring home Chinese food in those little containers after work once in awhile. It was so fun unpacking those little white cartons with the wire handle to see what was inside. Have a great weekend. W.C.C.

What a fun picture! I'm not sure I could come up with a favorite memory of my mom, she's just that cool that there are so many of them. (Will you get me some brownie points by letting her know I said that? ;-) )

Have a great weekend!

I have so many! Probably when I was in the 6th grade and she prevented a bully from beating me up after school without anyone knowing she was involved.

I love all your old photos, that is such a sweet thing to say about your gramma, that she was the best cook ever.
As for a memory about my mother, I really don't remember much specifically, but I do remember going camping as a family and had fun. Then when I went as an adult with kids, I totally hated it. I remember calling my mom and thanking her for making camping fun for us as a kid because it really sucks for the mommy. TeeHee

What a very handsome couple your grandparents are.

I remember my mom always kissed us hello, good bye and goodnight - never missed.
