Aloha Follow Friday the Over 40 Set is here Flashing back!

6.24.2000
Alicia at More than Words started "Friday Photo Flashback" . I'm having a blast & you can too! Dig out your photo album! Don't forget to sign up so we can all visit and comment on each others pics/blogs! IT'S GREAT FUN! You'll love walking down memory lane - just as I do! The above picture is none other then Mr. & Mrs. D. Moody, and their Best Man, Rick (R.I.P.).  This is a toast at our second wedding ceremony.  You see my husband & I eloped on 12.23.99, and he was a 42 yr. old bachelor.  Never been married, and no children.  Rare breed, huh?  Our best man that's in between us there died in a car accident.  He is truly missed.  The second ceremony was for my MIL so she could see her only baby boy get married!  We had one outside under a tent, and it RAINED ALL DAM DAY!  SHEESH!  I put this up now because our Anniversary is this week.

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!
Please join in the fun over at Java's place, and get to know your fellow bloggers at Never Growing Old!!

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday a day of rest. So we're doin' the same. On Fridays we're taking it easy on posting. Therefore, our hostess is asking a simple question for you to answer; nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Islandlife808.com. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is: How many years have you been married, and did you get his/hers Christmas present yet?

We will be married 11 yrs. this week.  Yes, I got my husband his Christmas presents, but I can't tell  you what they are because he reads my Posts sometimes, and I don't want to blow the surprise.  I'll tell you after Christmas.

Wasn't that fun?  ~hehe~  Have a Great Weekend Everyone, and THANKS for stopping by, and following me.   Oh!  Don't forget about this Monday - "MONDAY'S MUSIC MOVES ME".  This week's theme, and the whole month of December is Christmas music.  I truly hope you ALL can make it. It's tons of fun!  Bring a friend!  Have a great weekend!  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  & STAY WARM!

I have been married for 10 years in March. We don't do gifts right now, to save money. We would rather spoil the kids and save every extra penny.

Love that picture! And too funny you guys did what we did, eloped then had a ceremony in the backyard. :) We'll have been married 8 years in August, though we've been together since 1997. He was another of that 'rare breed'. ;)

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby!!! The photo is great and in some cultures, rain on a wedding day is a sign of good luck and an long marriage.

To answer your question, we have been married 17 years. We used to give presents for Christmas, but stopped some years back and give money to charity instead.

Happy Anniversay!! You caught a good one!!!

This coming April will be 30 years for hubby and I...am already hinting for big gifts for a big anniversay.

Instead of Xmas presents this year, we are going to go back to Aruba once things quiet down here.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in June. We do not really do Chanukah presents, but the need for new digital cameras came at a good time to call it that.

Hi I'm new around these parts. Sorry I can't stay long. I'm on a 40+ years and older hop. (copy/paste day for me today) Trying to say howdy to everyone I can before my Dr. appointment. Hop back. Hook up your Hop. Enter my Giveaway. Need some people to enter. I'd enter myself but that would be weird. LOL Check out Handmade With Love Winter Giveaway. I'll stop again when I have more time.

Rare breed indeed. He must have been very picky and you were just the thing he needed.

What a lovely photo of you and Dave, so sorry about your Best Man friend.
My step-son and his first wife had two ceremonies because of his mother (she wouldn't be in the same room as me - HaHa).
As for Christmas, I did get Bill a Bissell Spot-Bot Pet Carpet cleaner so he doesn't have to lug the carpet cleaner up and down the stairs to clean up after the puppies. He's been complaining about that for weeks. We will be celebrating our 14th anniversary in March.

BTW, I forgot to mention that I love the angel you have in the corner on the shelf. I think I know why it's there, I know she is watching over you all the time.
