This one is my Dad and I at 12th Street Beach!  Probably about 1953, and the other picture is my Gramma (my dad's mom), my bride doll I got for Christmas, myself (probably around 4 or 5), and my Mom.  That was about 1954/55.  Check out that old milk bottle on the table.  Now when was the last time you saw milk in a botle.  LOL

Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club!
Please join in the fun and get to know your fellow bloggers at Never Growing Old!!
"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So here on Fridays we're taking it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’m asking a simple question for you to answer & nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Islandlife808.com. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is:  Now that fall is here and  Halloween is almost upon us do you put winter clothes out and summer clothes away or do you just leave everything out?  Also, did anyone start Christmas shopping yet???

I have this huge box and a aluminum closet in the basement.  I always put summer clothes and things away, and exchange for winter things and visa-versa in the spring.

My Christmas shopping goes on all year long.  If I see something on sale I think one of the kids is going to like I buy it.  I have to many to buy for to wait until the last minute.  We're talking 4 kids and spouses, and 9 grandkids and that's just on my side alone.  Plus my little bro and his wife.  The hubby has a Sister and her family we exchange gifts with.  She has two children.

Have a Great Weekend Everyone, and THANKS for stopping by, and following me.   Oh!  Don't forget about this Monday - "MONDAY'S MUSIC MOVES ME"  Check the theme for this week.  It's Movie Week, which means MOVE ME BABY!  Yes, you get to pick whatever you like.  I truly hope you ALL can make it.  Boogie Time!

I love these black and white photos! I was born in 1953. What a precious memory with your dad. And the second photo is so rich in details. Yes, I remember those milk bottles. The milk man used to deliver the milk in a box on the doorstep. I noticed other detaisl when I enlarged your photo. Your bride dolly was so cute. I also loved dolls!

You were so cute. Thanks for sharing your memories with us; loved it.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

old photos are so fun with so many memories that go with them. Yes I have started christmas shopping all ready. When my children were young yes I did the seasonal clothing however now that they are teens they wear seasonal clothes out of season so I do not put anything up anymore

You were so cute and don't they still use those milk bottles when the guy wins the nascar? :)

For the kids I will put away their summer clothes and take out winter clothes.

I'm not yet thinking about christmas. It will come when it comes. I don't even have enough money for groceries much less to think of shopping.

Alright, I am a dude and we are a different breed when it comes to clothes. My summer clothes are my winter and vice versa. There is no putting away.

First of all... I totally love those phots, especially the one of you and your grandpa! I remember milk bottles like that from my grandmother's - they lived out in "the sticks" and still had milk delivery from a local farm.
As for "winter" clothes... HaHa! Since we live in FL, they mainly consist of 2 pair of jeans, a few pair of slacks, 3 sweaters and a few sweatshirts. No need to put those away... we just layer. :-)
