WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - BRRRRR

Too cold outside!  I'm staying home.  So, this is what I did instead.  My first pineapple upside down cake.  Little lopsided, but it did taste good!

Oh yummy! I'll never forget when I made a pineapple upside cake when I was in a cooking class (at age 8). There was something so magically about flipping a cake over. LOL!

I've never made one of these before. I should try. I was always afraid I'd not do it right.

The cold does make us want to bake and have yummy smells in the house. I have not made upside down cake in many years.

What a horrible day outside... SO glad I'm in Florida. But the cake looks yummy (where are the cherries?). That is my oldest son's favorite cake and he always asks for it on his birthday - sent one to him when he was at Ft. Benning, by the time it got to him through all the channels and x-rays, it was moldy! Some of the guys in his unit ate around the mold anyway - Army guys, go figure!
I can never get it on the plate straight, either - it's just too darn heavy and HOT!
I'm sure everybody LOVED it anyway!
