WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - SISTERS!

Wordful Wednesday is for those of us that like to show a photo(s), but that just can’t seem keep our mouths shut about them. If you’d like to play along, post a photo or two on your blog, and let the words roll.  Here's mine:

I have a favorite picture.  My girls.  Is this love or what?  These beauties are the love of my life.  Without them I would have fallen apart years ago.  They make me whole, and proud that I am their mother.  I just hope they always feel THIS way about each other!  Wrong or right they will always be sisters!  I've always taught my children that family is the most important thing.  My reward in life from the Lord!  Bless my girls!

For more WW, visit Seven Clown Circus by clicking on her button below or her link, and take a look around while your there.  It's a great blog with many interesting things to read, and do!  I love browsing around at her site.

WHAT'S IN MY COFFEE???

Okay, this has been happening for a  long time, and no matter what coffee brand I use or buy a new coffee pot or use hot water or cold water it always happens.  I get this film on the top of the coffee, and on the side of the cup.  Little circles as if there were oil in the water, and I just can't drink it when I see that.  I've used Maxwell House, Folgers, you name it, and it happens every time.

Now, I really like my coffee in the morning so when I take that first cup I'm half asleep anyway, but when I sit down with that second cup, and I go to take that next sip, and I see that...it's over!  I wash my cups very good, and they are rinsed very well too, and I always use very hot water.  I don't have a dishwasher (kitchen's too small).  Also, I don't put cream or sugar during the week, but on weekends sometimes I put cream, but it doesn't matter that film is always there.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I surely would appreciate it.  Maybe I should write to the coffee companies.   Hmm...

NUMBER FIVE AND THE YOUNGEST OF MY CLAN.

This is my youngest, Melissa Anne Marie.  My miracle baby!  Also, she was named by her big sister.  I said she could name her, so she would realize that this is a brand new baby, and not her baby sister that is gone nor replacing her.  She was happy with that.  She chose Melissa and Anne-Marie in honor and after of her deceased baby sister.

Missy was born premature.  I was seven and a half months pregnant when I fell down the stairs and things started to happen.  Very long story short if I hadn't fallen down the stairs I wouldn't be writing this post right now, and you wouldn't be looking at her picture.  You see the afterbirth was where the baby should be, and the baby was where the afterbirth should be, and if she would have went full term she would've probably died in her own fluids, and I would've bled to death, but I truly believe the Lord reached down His hand, and decided I've had enough grief, and gave me this miracle baby.  3lbs. 2oz.
and she looked like a little squirrel.  I hated going home without her, but she couldn't leave the hospital until she was 4lbs 8oz., but she finally came home, and we took that skinny little baby, and fattened her up in just about a month.  She wore baby doll clothes for a couple of months when she was first born because nothing else fit her.  I was in a dollar store, and saw these doll clothes for sale, and I said I bet that would fit her.  The dresses, and hats shirts all of them fit her perfect.  No more baggy clothes.  Yep she was my doll baby!

And here's my three pounder today!  Hey Missy Anne!  She lives in Iowa now with her son Edward, and hubby Scott and doing very well.  She's also studying to be a nurse.

All is good!  My contribution to the world is done.  This factory is closed.  ~hehe~  Thank you all for letting me brag about my babies too!  I think it did me good to have my babies with me again.

My FREE uni-ball uni-super INK PEN!

FREE!  Keyword here!  I love FREE!  I don't remember how I came across this offer, but I did and I got one! WOO HOO!  Yes, it's true.  I got one! Would you like one? Well, all you have to do is go to uni-ball and request one, but hurry before they are all gone!  Experience uni Super Ink for yourself!

Specially formulated uni super ink pen.  Isn't that special!  What the is that you say?  Well, I'm here to tell  you.  It writes so smoothly it kind of glides across the paper.  The shape of the pen is not too little, and not too big to fit right in your fingers.  It states that  it helps to prevent check and document fraud. It is also fade- and water-resistant ink as well as acid-free and archival quality. Okay, now you've got my attention.  In this day and age that's all everyone is thinking about is to protect what is yours!  All you thieves out there stop hording in on my action, and BEWARE!  We're on the UNI-BALL now!

Large pigment particles in the ink form an unbreakable bond with paper fibers.  Vivid color every time you write.  Archival quality and won't fade over time.  Okay, now you're talking my language.  Now if they can only think of a formula that I can use where my face won't fade away and turn into wrinkles they'll have a customer for life!  uni-ball the relief pen that uses super ink to protect my property.
It's like having a super lock on all my important papers!
Get on the UNI-BALL and protect what is yours!

NUMBER FOUR - MAMA'S BOY

Yes, yes, yes. I know what you're going to say BUT.... I'd like you to meet my 4th child.  Robert Thomas (Rocky) who was named after my Godfather, and my Grandfather. He was my fat baby, and between my other children, and myself he was/is spoiled rotten! We called him "Chubley" (cartoon character at the time). This baby use to get into everything! Oh my gosh, one time he got into my purse sat behind a sofa chair, and took out my cigarettes tasted them because they were wet, and broke them all apart (by the way I quit cold turkey 10 yrs. ago this month). When he was bored with that he put my camera in the oven, and closed the door so naturally when I turned the oven on to preheat it we all know what happened to my camera don't we? Then he decided to get into the flour bag, and bring that behind the chair, and have himself a Flour Blizzard. Isn't he just so special!?!
Anyway, here is Chubley now with his big sister? Yes, well he's taller. Let's say his older sister trying to straighten our "black sheep" out. Come on! You know there's one in every family. Now, this boy may give me grief at times, but I must say he's still a MaMa's boy. Calls me all the time, and the biggest con artist in the world.  Mama do this for me, Mama do that for me.  That boy can charm the pants off of -- well, that's enough. ~snicker~ Wrong or right he's still my baby boy!

One of his finer qualities is he sure can sing, and he sounds just like Barry White. Remember him?Okay folks - that's number four! Isn't he smooth! A regular Romeo! LOL Gotta love em'. By the way, that's Gramma. God bless her soul! She loved her Rocco!

NUMBER THREE

This is my third child, Angelina Anne-Marie. It grieves me to say that she is also my "Guardian Angel", and the empty space in my heart. You see she is no longer with us. She's back in heaven due to S.I.D.S four months after she arrived. I only have a few pictures of her, but fortunately this studio picture was done thanks to my dad to save and cherish. Although, Angel did breath on her own after the fact it was unknown how to help her. The SIDS foundation contacted me with a million questions about her, but they couldn't put two and two together no matter how they tried. Even while she was breathing on her own she was getting tired, and they just didn't know how to help her. This was in 1977. I wondered why the research wasn't done.

You see back in 1977 Sudden Infant death Syndrome was not called a disease. Why you ask? Because babies don't vote! Yes, that's the answer I got. Not until 1991 was it declared a disease. (I believe this is the date. I had the article, but I'm sorry I cannot lay my hands on it at the moment).

Well, it has been declared. It IS a disease, and they have researched. "The CJ Foundation for SIDS' mission is to reduce the risk of future infant deaths, support families who have suffered a loss and fund medical research so that no new families have to endure the pain of losing their infant".

Angel's older sister, Tricia aka, NightOwlMama has been writing a few articles regarding Sudden Infant Death Syndrome for CJ Foundation. There's information that even I didn't know at their website. Who would of thought that my own child would give her mother such peace with this wonderful information that I've yearned for for so many years. You see everything happens for a reason, and I believe God sent me two angels. One in heaven, and one here on earth, my Tricia.

When you lose a child, and all the doctor can say to you is we don't know why this happens. I'm sorry. What do you tell your heart why it is breaking? How do you go on with life when you hurt so deeply. How did I go on? I had two babies at home that needed me, and Angel was still within my heart. I'm very proud of my daughter for taking on such a project, and doing such a thorough job. It's been many years since this happened, but to me it was yesterday.

So you see I'm special. I have my very own "Guardian Angel", and an Angel here on earth.

Now, here's the good news: A study partially funded by the C.J. Foundation for S.I.D.S. has revealed a likely link between low serotonin levels in infants, and S.I.D.S. This is a significant breakthrough for doctors, and researchers in the field as they close in on the mysterious cause of infant deaths.

In 2002, the medical journal Pediatrics published a study that explained why babies who are swaddled sleep more peacefully by preventing spontaneous movements (called reflex motion) from waking them up continually during the night. The same year, the Journal of Applied Physiology wrote that swaddled infants stay in REM sleep (the most restorative, deepest sleep) longer than those who were not. There is growing evidence every year that swaddling may indirectly help prevent SIDS, as well.

The CJ Foundation would like to remind parents and caregivers that overheating is a leading risk factor for SIDS, which increases during the cold winter months due to uneducated parents and caregivers who think that cranking the heating is good for their babies.

THEREFORE:

This is a give away being done at Nightowlmama . Now I want all you "MaMa's" to get your butt over there, and read, learn and enter. Do it for me! Do it for yourself!  DO IT FOR YOUR BABY!! Then when you're done pick up your baby, and give her/him a big hug and sloppy smooch for me, and say,
"THAT ONE'S FROM DOLLY"!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

NUMBER TWO!

The other day I told you ladies how jealous I was of all your beautiful babies, and how I was going to post all my babies for all of you too see too!  Now the only thing is mine is the before and after, and you have to wait for a while for your after.  So without further ado...

This young man is baby number two, my first boy Anthony Joseph a.k.a. Cuddles.  Yes, he came home from the hospital in a Christmas stocking (born on the 23rd).  When I use to put him in bed with me at two a.m. he'd finish his bottle, and manuever his little body towards me, and cuddle.  He was so funny.  Did it every time.  He was also a bottle baby (no pacifier).  He had that bottle until he was almost three I believe.  Yes, he was my blonde hair, blue eyed baby.  Everyone thought he came from the mailman because neither one of  us had these traits, but his grandpa's did!

Anyway, now this fine young man has turn into the man of the family that is his own family, and the owner of a board-up business, and is doing quite well.  Ladies and Gents please meet my son today, Tony with his daughter Nicole.

*Stay tuned for number three possibly tomorrow, but because of Valentines Day it may be on Monday.  Thanks for letting me brag a little.  Have a great day!

ALOHA - IT'S "FRIDAY FOLLOW AGAIN"!

Happy Friday Follow!  I'm a regular now taking part in Friday Follow, and I'm really looking forward to visiting new blogs to follow and always welcoming new followers to mine!  I'm also doing Aloha Friday because I love to see everyone's question.  Still don't know which one I like the best.  ~hehe~ They're both so much fun!  So, hop my little bloggers.  Maybe we'll pass each other by.

If you’d like to participate in Aloha Friday, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Islandlife808.com. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is:  What did you get your significant other for Valentines Day (BECAUSE I NEED SOME IDEAS - AUGH!)??? What do you get the man who has everything?  What the heck, he's got me!!!  ~snicker-snicker~

I joined Friday Follow at Midday Escapades, and what an explosion of new friends, and people just like me flying all over the internet to see one another.  I would just like to make one little comment here if I may:
If there is someone's blog that you're not interested in, dislike or something on their blog offends you, please do not judge the rest of us by that one.  Remember Jesus once said...if you had 100 sheep and one went astray..wouldn't you leave the 99 righteous sheep to find the one that went astray and bring him home...  We're all here to have fun are we not?  And didn't He also say unto us, "He That Is Without Sin Among You, Let Him First Cast a Stone ...  It may only be for that one Post that you saw something that may have offended you.  So, give everyone a fair chance and enjoy!

Thanks to everyone in advance for stopping by.  Have a safe and wonderful weekend!  Peace & Love!

NUMBER ONE!

So, it's Thursday eve, and I thought I'd get in a quick post before our Aloha's and Friday Follows began.  Just a quick brief post because you see all you ladies have been showing off your babies, and as well you should.  Every single one of them are unique in their own light.

So, okay I admit it, I'm jealous and I'm missing my babies even though they are all grown up, and still here I'm still missing my babies.  Someday you know what I mean.   Now, I had five babies, and for the next few days I'll be posting my babies for all to see, so I can brag a little bit too!  So without further ado...

Ladies, let me introduce you to my first born.  Grandpa use to call her Tricialita because she'd say that's not my name, and he would tease her with it.  He also use to tease her with Patty Sue, how do you do?  That's not my name BaBa she'd say.  She was my pride and joy as well as his, and that girl next to her is none other then muuuuwah at the tender age of 19.  Yes, I was young and foolish, but now I'm much older and blessed.  You see that baby on my lap is none other than my pride and joy now...

Rolling Stones Magazine you've gone too far!

Good-Morning Monday.  Let's go outside, and put the mail out first.  Oh my, Saturday's mail still in the box.  My bad..  A cup of coffee, my medications, and a piece of toast. Hmmm, Bills, advertisements, and the Rolling Stone magazine for the hubby.  I push the bills aside, and then I saw it.  YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

This is what I saw.  This is what our children are seeing, and reading?  They have got to be kidding me.  This child's not only has bared half his tattooed body, but half of his dam underwear is showing, and what is that on his shoulders his dam hair?  Lord have mercy!  Is this what we want our children to see, to follow & look like, to read about?  They're advertising that this so called singer not only has a tattoo on every part of his body, but he's also going to jail?  This is what we want our children to see and read to fashion themselves after?

Rolling Stone you have gone too far.  Isn't there some rules that you have to follow?  I mean if you want adults to see this crap then only sell to adults.  Make it a rule that they have to be at least over 18 to buy the magazine.  All and all don't get me wrong the articles inside are worth reading such as Rock for Haiti. - Rock & Roll - Rockers Unite for Haiti Benefits.  What an awesome line up of stars.  The show was phenomenal.  To tell you the truth there are some good articles, but most of the magazine is full of advertisement.  HOLLYWOOD YOU NEED TO CLEAN UP  YOUR ACT!

I'M MAD AS HELL AND I AIN'T GONNA TAKE IT NO MORE!

None of my children nor grandchildren will ever listen to this man's songs nor read this magazine!  Us mother/grandmothers and fathers/grandfathers we have to stand up, and unite against this kind of thing.  It is so out of control.

Carress Evenly Gorgeous Give-Away

Caress Evenly Gorgeous contains a combination of burnt brown sugar to exfoliate your skin and karite butter to moisturize it, helping to result in a more even skin tone.

I haven't tried the body wash, but I'm sure the scent is as pretty and feminine as it's bar form.   When I don't use Caress I really do see a difference in my skin. It no longer feels moisturized and the dryness returns.

I use the body bar,  but I'll admit I haven't tried the body wash as of yet, but I wouldn't mind it if it was in my shower one of these evenings.

Win It! One winner will receive a set of Caress Evenly Gorgeous body bars!
You have until 10pm EST on February 14, 2010 to enter at
A Nut in a Nutshell
1 lucky winner will be randomly selected.

Finally the truth about a square meal!

Sorry, I couldn't pass this one up, and I wanted to share.   ~snicker-snicker~

~FRIDAY FOLLOW~

Well, this is my 3rd wk. taking part in Friday Follow and I'm really looking forward to discovering new blogs to follow and as always looking forward to welcoming new followers to mine!  I'm also doing Aloha Friday because I still don't know which one I like the best yet.  I like them both.  So, here I go again with too much to do!

I stumbled onto Friday Follow a few weeks ago at Midday Escapades and thought cool. This is different, and decided to try it out.  What a fantastic response I had from so many great & interesting people. I hope for the same this week although I'm getting a late start with today's blog hopping.  So, make sure you visit their blogs to link up to Friday Follow and to meet or fellow bloggers!  Thanks to everyone in advance for stopping by.  Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

ALOHA FRIDAY!

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So here on Fridays we're taking it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’m asking a simple question for you to answer & nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at the very friendly place of Islandlife808.com. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends and find new followers!

My question is:  What's your weakness?

I have two.  Ice cream and old movies.  This week on Turner Classic Movies they have the Oscar Movies for the past 80 yrs.  This morning they had on "Flirtation Walk" with Dick Powell, and right now they have "Gold Diggers of 1933" with Jean Blondell, Warren William, Ruby Keeler, and Ginger Rodgers.  Oh yeah, those are really back there.  LOL
